Regardless, if you think this is a conspiracy, inside job, incompetence, or whatever the lady who says the roof was too steep, is responsible for the murder of the innocent fireman. How in the hell was this not prevented this should have not happened you have officers reporting suspicious activity for 2030 minutes before the shooting, and the rally is still allowed to go on not delayed just proceed like normal… You have people on the ground for over a minute screaming about a guy on a building regardless if he had a gun or not, they're pointing out something crazy is going on. How does the Secret Service guy on stage not go grab Mr. Trump and say, sir we've got a take cover for a little bit to figure this out something's going on, it's absolutely ridiculous that he was able to stay up there on stage… If there is a bomb threat at a school, you don't just continue on the day like normal until a bomb is found or until you find that it was a prank Wake up, she should be fired and people should be in jail

The Iranian threat was from a couple of weeks ago. That makes failing to secure the sniper's building even worse and fuels the "they wanted it to happen" conspiracy fire. The head of the SS went from, "wasn't us" (BS, even if the locals were responsible for securing it, SS had to establish comms with them to monitor the status), to "the pitch was too steep", despite the fact the other teams were on steeper roofs. What will the next excuse be?

That's weird. I saw a video of whatever POS lady runs the SS on news not too long ago that says that there were no credible threats against Donald Trump. It would be interesting to see if it is within that 2 week window.

He was sent temp DHS And DEA agents with very few actual SS agents while also being denied additional security and there was bill submitted to remove his SS altogether yet he was threatened recently? Makes zero sense. This whole thing is a farce to cover up their attempted assassination so the faucet stays on.

Here's what I can't wrap my head around:

I can absolutely buy that SS let its guard down, full of Obama/Biden DEI hires that might not work that hard covering Trump.

But how is it that by all accounts kind of wimpy 20 year old kid without a lot of known history of mental illness or radicalization plan to shoot Trump all willy-nilly at a local rally near his house. Didn't have to travel, didn't have to plan, didn't leave a footprint.. just used his dad's gun, hopped on a roof, and pew pew. When there are likely hundreds of more well qualified entities that would love to disrupt America and Trump by taking credit for an assassination… we got this kid? It doesn't past the vibe check.

This, IMO, is the most accurate breakdown of the events that preceded the shooting. The discussion is between two police officers who have had a work history of working with SS in their capacity as local LEOs. They review the likely way the event went down based off the video evidence provide to date. They point out that while they saw someone on the roof, there is a delay before the gun is actually visualized (see CC text on video). As a LEO, the likely first impression was that it was just some spectator trying to get a better view and the rules of engagement would prevent them from firing first without knowledge that the guy crawling on the roof had a weapon.

One can plan without leaving a footprint. From all indications, this guy wasn't a semi-function (censored word which starts with a R) like Adam Lanza. Someone with just average intelligence could figure out how to do it.

Finds out Trump is going to have a rally nearby.

Decides he wants to kill him.

Plans it all out in his mind, creates a timeline for when he needs to do X, Y, and Z. Then carries out.

I don't buy it. Apparently he had discord, but reportedly didn't use it for months and had nothing in it about anything related to Trump? Oh...and it was conveniently deleted too.

He articulated exactly where I'm at. This was a course of mistakes that together allowed this to happen. The terms conspiracy is thrown around far too often and misinterpreted often. I do not believe this is mark wahlberg shooter movie with a mass conspiracy planned out. But I do believe there were both accidents and intentional oversights that led to this

The only way I see a 20 year old not having social media is that they have become a moderately-famed internet troll and was doing everything possible to not be doxxed. Or they teeter on the SovCit world where they are worried about big data knowing who they are - but I would expect real life people to know that as well - usually those guys aren't quiet about it.

Seems like everybody in the local PD should have been on point for this security detail.

This wasn't working the gate of a PGA tournament

If you a local cop this is as big as its gonna get.

It's game day. As big as its gonna get.

Doesn't seem like the local cops would show up and be laxidasical about the whole deal.

This was their chosen profession at the highest possible level.

Something happened but it seems like a hard sell that the local PD was incompetent.

Seems like there would have been a chain of command and they were a part of it.

If USSS was in charge then I don't see how you shift the blame down on the local cops.

Buy all accounts the local cops were doing what they were told.
