I'm sure that there are many stories that could be told about SS security for a presidential campaign stop and I realize that Trump is the former & not the sitting president, but when Bush 41 stopped at the SSC Lab near Waxahachie in '92 they did the following at a rural location:

Everybody parked and were bussed from a distant facility and kept in a building for like 45 minutes before he arrived.
All roads were closed to normal traffic for the entire day.
There were choppers circling overhead as we got off the bus.
We went through a metal detector and were individually wanded by security.
Marine 1 landed at a specially constructed pad a couple of 100 yds away.
He approached the building on a specially constructed boardwalk with a roof lined on both sides by school busses.
There were SS dispersed about every 30 foot throughout the crowd and they were actively scanning the entire time.

I'm sure that there are other details that I can't recall, but the contrast between today's completely unsecured open roof and the precautions I listed above doesn't seem like it could be explained by mere incompetence. I'm not saying that there was a conspiracy to put that shooter on the roof, but it does seem to be intentional negligence at a minimum.

There's no way that they could have accidently missed that roof. No way...

I was at the Columbia memorial at JSC when W spoke…

Plenty I've elevated building out there around the grassy area outside Bldg 1…

You could see sniper on every rooftop of every building…

And JSC already had heightened security and was much harder to get into post-9/11…

Wasn't aware a regular camera could catch an image traveling at that speed.


With that kind of lighting and a low F stop you can use extremely fast shutter speeds.

Using the blur to estimate a travel distance, and if we know the round used… you can calculate shutter speed.

This was a colossal blunder from Secret Service. They just said shooter was outside the perimeter. Nonsense.

He may have been outside the immediate/metal detector zone. But he is 100% within the security perimeter.

Think about JFK. Imagine trying to cover all of those windows in dozens of buildings. It's an impossible task.

This shooter was sitting on top of the ONLY BUILDING. And it was a 9 iron away from Trump.
