Figure most of the microphones are directional to cut down on crowd noise during the speech and you'll get distorted gunshots no matter the caliber.

It's likely to be "he was a crazy person with a lifetime of mental illness", etc.. But the FBI/DOJ/HSI probably know who the shooter is but not the planners, and they'll NEVER reveal who that is.
