There was no Secret Service when Lincoln was alive. Lincoln signed the bill to create the Secret Service on April 14th, 1865, then went to Ford's Theater where he was shot by JWB later that day.

Almost miraculous how every single thing lined up perfectly for Trump to be killed by some trashy incel loser. He shouldn't have turned his head….he should be dead. And this nation should be chaotic as all get out right now. It's genuinely disturbing to imagine how things would be had we seen an explosion of pink mist, followed by his limp collapse. There's not really much else major to know at this point about what happened. Crazy loner kid took advantage of extremely poor planning and a disorganized and complacent security team and got a shot off at Trump. More will come with the eventual Secret Service report about their failures but once most of the details settled I think most people have started to pay less attention and get back to their regular lives.
