They create, test, and distribute talking points. They also own the press. The right does not.

Project 2025 was released by design to do two things, give cannon fodder to the left, and attempt damage Trump who the Heritage Foundation founding member Ed Feulner despises who is a firm Pence supporter. Openly admitting he held his nose and voted for Trump only because of his picking of Pence as VP. The HF senior chair Robert P. George who in his own words, he "fiercely opposed" the candidacy of Donald Trump, saying that he was "a person of poor character."

There was no possible strategic advantage to release this prior to the election other than to give cannon fodder and talking points to the left, none whatsoever. It fed into the fear mongering of the left about the destruction of democracy. Whether or not any of the positions are good is a wasted exercise with many on the right yet they completely ignore the fact that the timing of the release did zero to help the conservative movement to oust the radical left. There was zero upside to this move and now all you will hear from every single democrat is Project 2025 and their attempt to tie it to Trump as if it were the Mein Kampf.

Project 2025 is 920 pages. I think we'll know more about it in 2026.
