It's an Islamic country now.

This is the next step. The Islamic have the Labor guys in their pockets. They will begin to push for Shariah. Raping white women on streets "for not covering up" will be commonplace. You must keep in mind that the Islamic trash that UK has brought in are from the worst of places like Pakistan, Somalia, Saudi Arabia and Yemen. They aren't the highly educated professionals who are doctors and engineers. Yes, among Islamic, some doctors and engineers go batty and become terrorists and Jihadis too.

You might be surprised to know how many doctors and engineers from this country are from Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Muslim India.

First generation Somali immigrants were fleeing a civil war and had little opportunity to pursue white collar careers in the West-but I live in the Twin Cities and you would be surprised how educated many of the cab drivers are, if you talk to them. Many of their kids are future doctors, lawyers, and engineers.

The people leaving Saudi are almost exclusively upper middle class. The poor people can't get out.

Never met a Yemeni in my life. Maybe some of them have reached Europe; who could blame them for wanting to leave?

I should add that there have been a number of terrorist prosecutions among the local Somali community, but interestingly, with only one exception I can think of, they have been exclusively interested in going back to Somalia to blow up their own country.

Seems like most of it has been thoroughly blowed up already, but hey, it's their life.

The singular exception was a mentally disturbed young woman whose act of Islamic terrorism was setting one of her sanitary pads on fire in a wastebasket at her college. She appeared to genuinely want to inflict harm, but not surprisingly, this was not a mass casualty incident.

If European elections weren't legit, I guarantee you Nigel Farage wouldn't have gotten 14% of the vote, Marine Le Pen a third of it, Meloni as prime minister of Italy, etc., etc.

This one was more legit, than any of ours.

The tories are completely dysfunctional, and Rishi Sunak was a political novice

The Tories have become the nothing party - think RINO - they are too liberal for conservatives and not liberal enough for liberals - made rules for others during COVID but rules didn't apply to the party elites (sound familiar?)

A number of conservatives quit the party prior to the election.
Right wing , anti immigrant Nigel Farage is in Parliament for the first time, and his party got almost 15% of the vote.
Yokel beat me to it.

Immigration is a losing battle for Labor.
This will only strengthen Farage. If they are smart they will focus on everyday issues, reducing inflation, improving their healthcare. Ain't going to be easy especially in this economic climate. it's very easy to make things worse.

Ik yall don't seem to believe it, but labour has a better track record historically of being tougher on crime and immigration than the conservatives do. It sounds crazy when you apply American logic to it, but if anyone is going to alleviate these problems it's going to be a labour government.

Doesn't mean labour is good, they suck in other ways, and the blairite scheme is just containment anyways, but the lesson is to not apply American political logic to other countries.

Farage's party won 4 seats. He was nothing but a spoiler, and has no prospect for being anything more than that. For the right side of the spectrum to win, the Conservative Party is going to have to find a unifying theme and message for voters on the right side of the spectrum, and bring those Reform voters back into the fold (along with a few that defected to other parties). David Cameron started the leftward drift, Boris Johnson offered a glimmer of hope, but his Covid response (going against his instincts and opting for lockdown rules, his violation of which were his undoing) and the general fecklessness of the party leadership ultimate sunk them.

While Labour got 1% more of the vote share than they did in 2019, when the Conservatives romped to an 80 seat majority, they actually got fewer votes this time around. Turnout was down dramatically, as voters in the UK generally don't like any of the options on offer (sound familiar?). Labour also saw a number of seats lost to "independent" candidates who, essentially, back Islamist terrorists (Jeremy Corbin being one of these). It's a very precarious position to be in for a party with such an overwhelming parliamentary majority.

The reason to be optimistic about this result, if you're British, is that Starmer appears to be an opportunist who will tack in a direction that appears to be relatively popular and benefit the public. Trouble is, that only works if the circumstances are relatively favorable (see Clinton, William Jefferson).

5, but I take your point.

Another one was called today, in a narrow victory over Labour where Reform+Conservative was over 55% of the vote.

The UK political system is the most sophisticated and effective in the world at "extremist" containment. It's been a Blair government for 30 years, and will remain so until the system literally collapses. Corbyn and his crew got kicked out of Labour, and all of the actual right wing guys got kicked out of Conservatives/UKIP/Reform. Farage is containment with another face. In the short term, the only thing we do know is that as bad as some blue haired labour lefty might be, actual Tory governance is 5x as left as whatever labour is going to do for the next couple years.

Exit polls projecting a 170 seat Labour majority, slightly underperforming Tony Blair's win in 1997, but representing the 2nd largest Labour majority since 1900.

Conservatives with 131 seats, which is actually quite a bit better than some pundits were predicting (but still terrible).

Polls are about to close, and by all accounts, this will be a landslide for the Labour party. The British are sick and tired of the failed conservative ideology like tax cuts for the rich, and this will be a sweeping change for them. The magnitude of this defeat may wipe them out for good. Its really unprecedented.

A conservative party that goes half labour at the key moment is doomed to fail.

Britain is about to get royaly ****ed
Already are. Britain has been declining for decades. If it was a US state its Per Capita income would rank dead last well behind Mississippi. Fun fact as would most of the Canadian Provence with the exception of Alberta. If it weren't for billionaires living in London the numbers would be even worse. Google the numbers and for real fun compare the Birminghams- Bama vs England. Its a romp

The UK is a shell of its former self. Its military is a joke, as its economy. Sad what liberalism has done to the place. And here they are doubling down.

If conservatives have been in charge for over a decade, how is liberalism to blame for the state they're in?
The Brits haven't had real conservatives since Thatcher. The Brits have been screwed since 1945 when they dumped Churchill in favor of Labour and Attee sp?.

You don't need to cite exit polls. The results are in. The UK doesn't take a week to count votes.

As for the rest of this rambling, I'm not sure what point you are trying to make. The original post was weird, citing countries that don't have even superficially similar immigration patterns to Europe, or the US.

If you have any meaningful comments to offer about "fantasies" I have stated, I am all ears.

Just because some Muslims are doctors, it does not mean that there aren't trouble makers. Almost all the troublemakers in the UK are Muslims. I can easily say 99%+. If the first generation migrating there are "good citizens", their kids get a modern education, but still get radicalized and blame "alienation" and get on the jihadi track.

The explanation that you gave is straight from the playbook of Muslims themselves and white liberals defending Islamists.

Let's just ask ourselves which of us is making up exaggerated nonsense.

The only thing that interested me about your original assertion is that you cited 4 different countries that have jack all to do with each other, only some of which have meaningful immigration to the UK or Europe. I suppose it was your idea of where "bad Mooslems" live?

Nice to see Starmer has a Corbyn/Biden groovy kind of love for Islamo-Nazis.

Hopefully someone on the British right can get a coalition together while Labour takes The United Kingdom back to the 1970s.

I'll say this again....this has almost nothing to do with the conservatives. When things go south for whichever party is in control, then the other party wins. That is politics; it's always been that way. The UK happened to be one of the few western governments with their version of conservatives in office right now and they mismanaged and things went to *****

Zero to do with tax cuts but that's part and parcel to the OP not understanding reality. This is the people clamoring for something different and their only option is to vote for the other party in a desperate attempt to fix things.

And while the Labour Party actually campaigned on a policy of centrism and effectively continuing what the conservatives were already doing - just more pragmatically and efficiently - the new PM has already announced, on Day 1, that he's ending the UK's program to remove illegal immigrants.

So he's already reneging on a campaign promise on Day One. Nigel's Reform Party immediately picked up some new followers today.

Hilariously enough, Ms. Mahmood was openly harassed by radical Islamists during her election campaign, who were infuriated by her lack of support for a Gaza ceasefire vote and refusal to resign from Labour's shadow cabinet over its support for Israel.

I mean, I know this is F16, but can we at least try not to be openly ridiculous, and automatically assume someone is an enemy of democracy on account of their name or what they look like?

Very little to do with the tax cuts. Most just poor leadership by the conservatives. EU exit not done well, COVID, inflation, etc. People just want change but it will swing back one day with the upcoming stupid progressive policies.
