The people writing the show didn't pass Chemistry and neither did anyone watching it.

I am just guessing that the Dems/Libs have seized complete control of Disney and are purposely destroying it. Perhaps they figure Disney is a symbol that must be brought down like Confederate Statues.
My other guess is that the Dems/Libs want to bankrupt Disney because the individual pieces are so valuable. So many great movies, lots of real estate, the other businesses they own might all be fantastic grabs at a bankruptcy sale.

We just left Disney in Orlando yesterday after a 3 day visit and now on to Universal today. We go every 2 years and this was my 9th visit and the 6th for my kids. The experience this time was markedly different than all of the other visits. I am not offering opinion on guest experience I am speaking to the demographic makeup of the staff. It is very obvious that there is an agenda with the recruitment staff at the Disney Parks. I would estimate that 25-30% of the frontline employees that either run the rides or interact directly with guests are of the LGBTQ persuasion. Some rides that involve a bit of acting or storytelling by the ride attendants the percentage is much higher. The parks have almost a caste system it seems, the snack bar/cafeteria and janitor teams are all staffed by what appear to be straight, Hispanic employees and any position that puts the employee directly out in front of guests let's just say they have a different set of qualifications they look for in hiring.
Early June with kids just out of school, and DisneyWorld is basically empty.
This must be costing Disney a fortune.
(Btw, she said the Tron ride was abysmal. They rode it once.)

This is correct. I have never seen a Disney Summer trip like this. Crowds very light, we hopped on the Mt Everest ride 3 times in an hour on Monday. And Tron was just ok, it seems to last about 40 seconds. I think Test Track is still better but it was broken on our Epcot Day.
I think I despise every single thing about Star Wars now. Like, there's nothing even remotely worthwhile about this franchise anymore. Its anti-entertainment.

The bold is the part that some like to gloss over when discussing DEI and woke bull**** as it relates to Disney. Of course the quality of the product is subpar more often than not, they've been prioritizing demographic checkboxes and trying to make a frankenstein show that "appeals to everyone" rather than making products with coherent storytelling and characters you actually like.BadMoonRisin said:

yeah, well when you have a showrunner and producer who cant have a single 2 minute interview without mentioning that she is gay or her queerness, you might start to wonder why the writing is bad. She hired bad writers because she hired them for things other than being good at writing. Just like she landed this job for being Harvey Weinstein's former personal assistant that set up all of the #MeToo rapings, and not for her skill in producing a successful TV show.
No imagination required to know why this show will suck.
They lost me at 'queer'. Don't ruin my childhood appreciation of Star Wars by forcing crazy crap like this for no other reason but pushing political agendas.Logos Stick said:

2) All of the main Jedi characters are Black or Asian, zero White men.
3) In the first episode, the only speaking role for a white character was for prisoners.
In Episode 3, they plan to throw… https://t.co/AFBQkSuJYq

I bought a lot of the Disney originals on blu/dvd expecting Disney to one day to refuse to sell or broadcast them. They are remaking all of them into woke garbage it seems.

Well, disagreeing with anything or pointing out politics in movies really twists the underwear of some of the posters on that board.
Even when the actors and directors themselves talk about the politics or social pandering in their own movies, they don't like it.
A couple of posters seem to think that you have to have their permission to have a dissenting opinion.

You know Star Wars has been in a very bad place when most people I know agree that they'd much prefer a George Lucas written and directed film (I.e the prequels) than all the garbage that's been coming out since Disney took over.

A friend of mine that has kids under ten made a pointed comment a while back.
In a decade we have gone from not previewing anything that the kids want to watch if it's on Disney to previewing everything that kids want to watch if it's on Disney.
Disney.
And yet I have countless friends on my FB feed (yes I'm old) that rail and b**ch about "wokeness" and "agendas" and whatnot on a regular basis…….yet the first thing they do every summer is pack up the kids/grandkids and go spend half a year's salary at f'ing Disney.Ags4DaWin said:
Not gonna watch or give them clicks.
Even watching to see how much you hate it gives them power and money.
This is the best way to fight back in this case.
Every dollar you spend there supports and reinforces these kinds of initiatives and behaviors. I can say beyond a shadow of a doubt that I will NEVER spend a dime on anything at a Disney property, short of them publicly rooting out this gay influence and direction, and that will never happen.bonfarr said:
