This is regarding the Biden administration's changes to Title IX. He doesn't like them, and is suing the government to get them overturned, but unlike some other states, he isn't going to simply ignore the law. We have people like Ken Paxton that don't believe in the rule of law, They don't believe in the Constitution. They fully demonstrate this by openly defying the rule of law by saying they won't comply. This is no other than the anarchy they claim they decry.

Glad somebody on the right still believes in the rule of law.

Well Obama surely did and Biden has been ignoring our immigration laws since he was elected.

Catch and release only goes for women with children and families that are low risk. To date, terrorist have been caught living here and one, an ISIS terrorist, has been living here for two years.

Title IX was part of the Educational Amendments of 1972. The Educational Amendments of 1972 were enacted to amend the Higher Education Act of 1965.

Both of these were passed by Congress.

As these are laws passed by the Legislative branch, they can only be amended by Congress in separate legislation. The judicial branch has the power to strike down parts of legislation which violate the Constitution.

To my knowledge the executive branch has never had the power to alter or rewrite federal law at any point after passage in Congress.

I'm open to correction with facts and I won't be offended in the least.

It's a policy change. Not a law, passed by both chambers of congress and signed by the president.

Hopefully, when chevron dies in June, bull**** like this goes away.

But, I doubt I'll ever see the day where the 4th branch of govt is held to account.

So much to digest here.
1. Where in the Constitution that you profess to revere is the Biden administration empowered to change Title IX to advance its radical political agenda?
2. Since when is refusing to implement an unconstitutional power ''ignoring the law"?
3. Since when is an AG who follows the Constitution instead of an unconstitutional and extra-statutory regulation demonstrating a disbelief in the rule of law?
4. Since when is a following of the Constitution as the supreme law of the land demonstrating a disbelief in the Constitution?
5. So implementing anarchy is a way of opposing anarchy?

What are the bases of Tennessee's challenge to the power grab by Biden? That Biden lacks statutory and Constitutional power to do so. If the Tennessee AG is raising that challenge in good faith, then how in the world does the Constitution and rule of law allow, much less mandate, that he implement the deficient grabbing and abuse of power? And how does a leftist contort the Constitution and concept of rule of law to spout such nonsense?

The president doesn't make laws

Our country was founded by flouting insane and unjust British laws because a king across an ocean was making laws without the consent of the people.

The founders stated it was the duty of a people, if their government refuses to hear and address their grievances to replace that government with a different one.

Flouting the rule of law when it is unjust or when the law is made without the consent of the people is a very American thing to do.

It is the quintessential American thing to do.

Your entire team disregards the constitution constantly and has for years. You should never even mention the constitution.

You just want to continue to be able to continue disregarding laws when inconvenient while making sure republicans still play by the rules.
