The Foreign Aid Bill is being voted on this morning. There are multiple bills being debated this morning. The highlights of what's in the bills:
Quote:
The House plans to vote Saturday on a $95 billion package of foreign aid bills that would provide funding for Ukraine, Israel and Taiwan, among other priorities.

The scheduled order of votes Saturday afternoon is significant. It's notable that the funding for Ukraine will be voted on before the Israel bill. That is the order that Democrats wanted because there was worry among Democrats that if Israel was voted on before Ukraine, Republicans would have no incentive to support Ukraine funding and jeopardize the measure's passage.
The TikTok ban got tucked into one of these bills:Quote:
...H.R. 8036, the Indo-Pacific Security Supplemental Act of 2024. The bill would provide supplemental appropriations for the Department of Defense and the State Department to support U.S. allies and activities in the Indo-Pacific.
And last of all and least because our government has decided to f* over the citizens of this country we have this one:Quote:
One of the bills House lawmakers will vote on Saturday includes a measure that would require TikTok to divest from its Chinese parent company, ByteDance, or face a prohibition in the United States.
Earlier this week, Republican House leaders unveiled an unconventional plan to tuck the TikTok crackdown into a series of foreign aid packages slated for a Saturday vote.
The tactic could fast-track the proposal, maneuvering the stand-alone bill that has stalled in the Senate.
The measure called the Protecting Americans from Foreign Adversary Controlled Applications Act, or H.R. 7521 would give apps deemed to be "controlled" by rival foreign powers 180 days to divest or face a prohibition.
The bill explicitly designates TikTok and other platforms owned by ByteDance as "foreign adversary controlled applications" and would create a mechanism by which the president could target additional apps in the future.
Thus, the normal Democrat Blackmail Voting strategy has worked yet again. They will get their foreign aid money and keep our border open to terrorists and illegal aliens. Biden no longer has any political cover to keep him from reversing all that he has done to make us vulnerable. But I'm sure we will keep on letting the world's garbage pour into our country.Quote:
The House is also set to consider a fifth bill of GOP priorities to secure the border, but it will mostly likely fail because it requires a two-thirds vote, unlike the other bills, which require a simple majority.
