I realize this will not be a popular take on this board, but how can anyone justify this? Joe Rogan and guest discuss the bombing of a refugee camp by Israel.

It was "justified" by claiming a really bad Hamas guy had been seen there.

I mean, this is a refugee camp full of civilians, and it's okay for Israel to bomb it because they suspect a bad guy is there?

I don't understand how logical, rational people can justify this.

I'm a well-known conservative on this board. I don't support Hamas. I hate what happened on October 7th. But this is not right. It's sickening and it's wrong.

Thise refugees support their terrorist leadership and hate jews and americans.

I'm going to bet that it wasn't all civilians.

Israel is going to win this war, no doubt.

How history and future generations will treat Isreal for how they won may be another story.

Your rationale seems to be that Israel is justified no matter what they do. What if Americans were in that camp? Doesn't matter, Israel was wronged and now they can kill everyone they want as long as they claim that a Hamas bad guy is near. Just idiotic beyond any reason.

It's a refugee camp!! Full of refugees. Poor people, no home. No power to stop Hamas from being among them.

So you're ok with them being given a death sentence for having to live in a refugee camp where some Hamas guy "might" be?

No because Israel follows a set of steps before they bomb/attack an area

Israel provides warnings and time for civilians to get to safety

Israel provides the refugees shelter if they are forced to relocate

Since they warn them they have shown responsibility for civilian safety

If Israel is able to prove there is a person who is a threat to Israel at a location the Helsinki Accord allows them to attack even if it means killing civilians

Hamas is the one committing a war crime by knowingly using civilians as shields according to the ICC

The big "crime" here was not expelling the entire "Palestinian" Arab population in 1967.

Also the IDF had control of the Temple Mount after the war ended but couldnt get approval to blow it up.

It was commonly claimed that all of gaza was essentially a refugee camp.

When the opponent uses civilians as cover by design, **** happens.

Intentionally bombing a group of civilians without a legitimarte target and for no other reason to simply kill them, possibly.

Bombing a group of civilians because a group of terrorists is hiding among them, terrorists those civilians either openly or tacitly support, not at all.

Accidently bombing civilians, nope. Unfortunately in war, **** happens.

Hamas loves to use their own people as human shields. If those people don't want to be at risk of a bomb falling on their heads, then they should round up all of the Hamas members, kill them, put their heads on pikes, and tell the Israelis to come inspect the bodies.

Israel has shown remarkable restraint after everything Hamas did. They could have used every weapon in their arsenal including incendiaries and simply burned all of Gaza to the ground, civilian casualties be damned, and been completely justified in doing so.

Yes, everyone knows it's Hamas' MO to get Israel to bomb civilians, in order to garner international support. So the question is, why does Israel keeping playing into the Hamas strategy against their own interests?

Israel should be waging economic and infrastructure war, and putting out PR videos of them sitting at negotiating table across from a Palestinian flag and empty chairs.

It kind of does make you wonder is Ben Net actually wants Hamas to be at war indefinitely to keep from adopting a 2 state solution.

I also don't like the "they're just poor people with no place to go and no way to control it." argument..

If I'm in a **** situation for how long? 10 years? I forget how long Hamas has controlled Gaza....

Anyways... If I am against Hamas, and in a **** situation for that many years and haven't found a way to get the **** out then it's on me. There's no keeping me and my family in Gaza if I don't support Hamas, also don't have adequate food/water, etc. No way.

Saying it's a war crime to bomb a refugee camp with known terrorists in it is exactly why there are terrorists in it in the first place

There were American POWs in Hiroshima the day we dropped Little Boy. War is indeed hell.

In war, there are winners and losers... but not crimes - at least not until it is over and especially when dealing with a people that place zero value on human life.

When it comes time to make war, there should be zero restraint in trying to end it ASAP. All JMO.

We did the same thing under Obama. If you were within 100 yards of the dude we were trying to take out, you were considered an enemy combatant.

If refugee camps are off limits, that's were Hamas will set up their HQ.

Hamas can end this today. Surrender and set all hostages free. Any deaths after Oct are on them.

"War crimes" only apply to the side that ends up losing the war.

Mama San coming out of the hooch crying etc for the cameras and was hiding VC , and promoted slicing a GIs throat, just about drove our kids crazy- and did sometimes. And for that the press and liberals called them baby killers. Wrap it up Israel.
Also, libs why aren't countries sympathetic to the refugees asking them to come in to their countries?

It is a terrible waist of life. Hamas could end this war tomorrow by laying down their arms and surrendering. That is the quickest way to stop the effusion of blood. The OP should begin this post by stating that fact.
