It seemed pretty cut and dry to me that he was guilty, no pun intended.

I think there are some. It turned into a race war though because of the race riots in LA the year before. That brought a lot into the trial and the division and of course the trial was completely botched from the prosecution standpoint.
I commented earlier about the bronco chase and verdict watch in my office. The funny thing is at that verdict watch there was one black secretary we had who was relieved when they found him innocent, she said oh good and everybody else just kind of gasped and said wow when the verdict was announced.
You think about it, if that had been Joe Namath that had gone on trial for this it would've not been the circus it was. It's just a shame that race became the point of the trial not the facts.
