That is a narrow way of deciding how Christ's name can/can't be used for evil and she absolutely has used it in a way to achieve her ends rather than his. Sarcasm is a contra statement, you can also do it in a manner where the ends are not for Christ's purpose, but your own.

"Christ is King and he wants me to have this mansion and if you want to prove the holy power of Christ you'll subscribe to my weekly newsletter for $10/mo so I can enrich your life with my interpretations of the word and buy that mansion and prove that his power is limitless."

Not a sarcastic phrase in the least. But people in effect do and say that kind of ****, and do and act that way, and then people find out they had been scammed by a person purporting to be a spiritual leader and that does the opposite of validate the statement Christ is King.
I agree that doing evil in the name of God is carrying the name of God in vain.

People are not saying that though. They are saying you can't say Christ is King as a weapon, or a way to fight spiritual warfare to expose those who don't agree with the statement.

That makes me actually angry. I find it to be some weird form of gatekeeping trying to get people to stop doing the right thing.

DW needs to be called out IMO. It was not used in an antisemitic way IMO. It was not used in vain IMO.

Nope. Not what they're saying. And it's your lack of engagement, lack of criticality, lack of interest in hearing a counter explanation that leads you to that conclusion.

When Ben Shapiro goes into a private event and says negative things about Candace Owens' behavior and that gets recorded, posted, and she starts her day by saying:

"No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money."

She's not saying Christ lead me. She's saying **** that Jew Boy that pays me and said bad things about me.

When Shapiro responds to that and says you're free to quit at any time, i.e. we will gladly let you out of your contract he's recognizing what she's doing.

When she doesn't quit ON THE SPOT she's admitting she's serving money rather than God, because she's claiming she's doing evil by being a voice on DW and the reason she doesn't quit is money.

When she then posts quickly after that "Christ is King" she's not saying Christ is King she's saying everyone that reads this hate Shapiro for being Jewish and by the nature of his religion he denies the divinity of Christ and all the Jew haters go tell him what a dirty obnoxious Christ hating Jew he is.

That is not espousing the divinity of Christ it's "I don't like this guy that I work for, I can't say it directly or publicly because I do serve money, so I'll be passive aggressive and call the midwits and antisemites to do it for me."

You made a lot of assumption as to why she tweets, and what it means. Just saying. You give the least charitable interpretation possible. Accusing someone of racism is one of the worst things you can do to a person. None of that is antisemitic. Even if she was directly pointing out that Jews don't accept Christ, that is a correct thing to do. I think those things need to be pointed out and said.

I disagree, and I hate the virtue signaling, countersignaling, and gatekeeping the phrase Christ is King.

Shapiro would flip his lid if someone accused him of anti black racism, and someone has mild criticism of Israel and he tries to get them fired, demonetized, and rejected by conservatives. Look at what he said about Ron Paul. He is the biggest hypocrite on this issue.

This is not meant to argue with you, but I think it needs to be pointed out that something can both be true and used wrongly/sacrilegiously/etc. One example from the Andrew Klavan video above is Satan quoting scripture to Jesus. Using truth in an attempt to do evil is one of the most twisted things that can be done. I think that's what's meant above by breaking a commandment - using (or carrying) the name of the Lord in vain.
That's not what she was doing.

I said unless you're doing it in a mocking sarcastic way.

This is the only time where it's bad because then you are taking the Lord's name in vain. There are no other scenarios in which it is bad, ever as you said.

hard times create strong men. Strong men create good times. good times create weak men. and weak men create hard times.

It might be. On Monday before being fired, she liked a tweet asking if a rabbi was drunk on Christian blood. She was clearly being intentionally provocative.
You mean about the rabbi who was attacking her for 2 years, and falsely accusing her of Jew hatred for 2 years? You mean the one who sells sex toys with his daughter?

She was pushed to defend herself after a relentless attack for years. I didn't see that tweet, and I wouldn't do that.

You mean to tell me that when she says Christ is King to someone she knows disagrees with the statement, that somehow that is considered blasphemy, a sin that cannot be forgiven? That's a strong accusation when you don't know her intentions.

Quote:

Exodus 20:7 "You shall not take the name of the LORD your God in vain, for the LORD will not hold him guiltless who takes His name in vain.

Mk 3:28-29. 28 "Assuredly, I say to you, all sins will be forgiven the sons of men, and whatever blasphemies they may utter; 29 but he who blasphemes against the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness, but is subject to eternal condemnation"

I'm glad you said might be, because that's a horrible accusation. Calling someone racist is a horrible thing to say if not true. I don't think she hates Jews.

I think this is more of a free speech issue. You should be able to say Christ is King without a conservative media group, or conservatives in general being triggered. You should be able to use it however you want.

For a group of people against cancel culture, accusing people of RACISMS!!!!!! seems hypocritical. Shapiro and the DW call everyone antisemitic over anything they disagree with. Shapiro called Ron Paul an antisemite for criticizing the federal reserve. This has to stop. We have to stop canceling people for mild criticism of Jews.

Imagine defending a sexual degenerate who sells sex toys with his daughter and sees no issue with this. This is where these people are just to justify their groveling of Jews.

For his constant warmongering. For being a self proclaimed neocon who said "Nikki Haley is my spirit animal"
He created the Never Trump movement. I don't think he is America First. For calling mild criticism of Jew's or Israel anti semitic constantly. For gatekeeping. For deplatforming, and trying to get other conservatives fired. For retweeting the ADL. I'm sure there is much much more.

Quote:

Ben Shapiro: And by the way, I don't give a good damn about the so-called "browning of America."

Also Ben: Here is the bottom line: If you believe that the Jewish
state has a right to exist,
then you must allow Israel to transfer the Palestinians
and the Israeli-Arabs from Judea, Samaria, Gaza and
Israel proper. It's an ugly solution, but it is the
only solution. And it is far less ugly than the
prospect of bloody conflict ad
infinitum.

A wall for Israel, but a candidate comes along and campaigns on the same polices in our country and he is suddenly against it?

Sorry I don't think there's ever a situation where you condone or applaud comments about Jews getting drunk in Christian blood. I don't know the first thing about that rabbi, and honestly it doesn't matter. If he's a degenerate, say he's a degenerate.

You're making a lot of charitable assumptions about why she says what she says, and i can make uncharitable assumptions about it, but we both can watch what she says, what effect it has and her continued actions of doing it and discern the intent of why she says what she says. Because I'm not a stupid gullible person.

I don't think that she's racist, I think she does what she does because she can rob the support of Christ and use it as her own. The fact that Ben is Jewish has very little to do with it other than it's a weak point in his reputation among the broader community of Christians.

She is a sociopath that identifies weaknesses and leverage points and exploits them regardless of the morality, even if it's using Christ's name in vain, because THAT'S WHAT SOCIOPATHS DO. They don't have morality, they have gamesmanship, and in that gamesmanship there are winners and losers and the heinousness of their crimes are dependent upon which game they choose to participate in.

All the other host back him. Klavan made heretical statements claiming it would be a tragedy if Shapiro came to Christ....

DW needs to be called out for what? For internet speculation about why they decided to fire someone?
For his constant warmongering. For being a self proclaimed neocon who said "Nikki Haley is my spirit animal"
He created the Never Trump movement. I don't think he is America First. For calling mild criticism of Jew's or Israel anti semitic constantly. For gatekeeping. For deplatforming, and trying to get other conservatives fired. For retweeting the ADL. I'm sure there is much much more.

Being someone that was marginally known in 2016 vs the two Bush former POTUS's is hardly "starting" the Never Trump movement....

Good Walsh!

You just said everyone on DW has to be in lockstep with Shapiro. I believe those tweets were posted to demonstrate that you're wrong.
Touche. It doesn't negate all the others he demonized for much less.

So do you take back what you said?

Quote:

Ben Shapiro founded the daily wire. What Ben says goes. If you are not in lock step on this issue you will be fired, black listed, and called a Jew hater, even if its not true. He did it to Ron Paul, and many others.

All the other host back him. Klavan made heretical statements claiming it would be a tragedy if Shapiro came to Christ....

DW hosts disagree on many issues. They aren't being controlled by the big bad overlord.

Guess he's getting fired based upon your claim.

Klavan's getting fired too, because he said Christ is King.

Jeremy Boreing who has more control of the company than Ben is gonna fire himself, because he said Christ is King.

It's almost like it's not about saying Christ is King, but why you're saying it among the other things you're saying and doing. Candace is not an anti-Semite, she's a person that wanted to get fired so she could get her payout so they could get her to stop muddying their name by using antisemitic tropes and winks and nods to muddy their name.

Kind of like going on her show and saying "does anyone know what kinds of books that the Nazis burned? They were burning books at a center for sex research and the place that coined the term transgenderism!" Ignoring all the other books and people that got burned.

She does it because she knows some quantity of "enough people" will deny what she's doing and who she is just like they do for Crowder, because they claim their persecution is a persecution of their morals (Christianity/traditionalism) not their actions.

Not to mention many never trumpers stayed never trumpers. One at least has to admit that Shapiro came around eventually.

Well maybe I should have said he legitimized it, but he was the only mainstream influential republican in the media I saw who was pushing it.

these are the people who he should be lumped in with from your own source????

Those aren't real republicans. they are neocons at best, and democrats now at worst.

Shaprio calls himself a neocon. He loves Nikki Haley.
