Texags own Tx Filmworks is working with Brave Books CEO Trent Talbot, Texas A&M University class of '07 and Kirk Cameron to create a new children's show that is wholesome for kids...

If you have premium, check it out the interview with Trent and Kirk Cameron where they talk about the show and their faith. God is good.

https://texags.com/s/58083/release-txfw-brave-books-launch-adventures-with-iggy-and-mr-kirk/25

Has the mom from GoodLuck Charlie as well...

Good. Children need entertainment that doesn't try to indoctrinate them.
When you have to brainwash kids are you really on the right side of things?

Need something for tweens and early teens for my daughter. She's burned through every show pre-wokism and is bored. Some of them are so old, they're using flip phones.

You don't need Premium to watch the interview.

Great to know.

It is definitely worth the few minutes to watch or put it in the background and listen while you work.

Agree 100%.

Hoping that Daily Wire or someone like this can fill that gap as well.

I would recommend Soul Surfer movie if she hasn't seen it. Not a Christian movie, but a good clean faith based movie that my daughter has loved for years.

I see what you said, what you appear to have meant was that they need entertainment that will indoctrinate them in a way you approve of.
Telling a child to be honest or promote love of family is not indoctrination.

Hope that helps...

Kids are going to learn stuff through what they watch. If you are fine with Disney telling your kids that boys can choose to be girls, that is up to you. You will deal with the consequences if your kids decide to try that.

Here is a hint.... It doesn't turn out well...

Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.

I think this is great, but I also agree that it's good indoctrination. Kids are always learning values. Make sure they're the ones you want them to learn.

It's really sad that things like family, honesty, and treating people fairly is now considered indoctrination by leftists.

Yes. One of your main duties as a parent is to properly indoctrinate your children. Do you have kids? If so, I hope you don't just let them do and believe whatever the hell they want.

I realize that indoctrinating children with traditional family values and upright morals is a horrific concept to modern leftists, but...can't stop - won't stop.

Young impressionable minds are always being molded by what they watch, listen to or read. If you and your values are not the ones shaping your child's mind, then someone else and someone else's value are.

Better than entertainment that indoctrinates them in a way a parent disapproves of...

Brandon,

Has filming already started? If not, when does that start?

Also, please pass along the need for good teen based shows like Growing Pains, Family Ties, and more recently Good Luck Charlie, & Dog with a Blog (that my older kids watched pre-indoctrination era Disney), etc...

Brave Books is a client and TXFW is in the client business. We are very happy to help them produce this show.

Regarding the other points in this thread: Kids will be formed by something. I have 5 kids from 17 down to 5. I am very much raising them up into a way. As adults, they will have to navigate that way and decide whether or not to make it their own.

Filming of episodes won't start until end of May. Tomorrow we will be filming "sizzle" content using part of the set. We are all busy trying to get that ready.

I sometimes disagree with how things are done here but absolutely not this time. This solidifies Texags' ownership as being one of the best in the business and full of people with high character.

Thank you for doing this. As someone who is also devout and has kids I understand the struggle to find appropriate content for them.

Very good bull guys.

I guess a better observation is why you in particular object to parents raising their own children in a way they see fit.

What's your deal?

Children's Christian television programming IS indoctrination. Indoctrination isn't inherently bad. You choose how you want your kids to grow up, and you seek out programming to assist with it. I wasn't placing a qualitative statement on it, just pointing that out.

I see that I've triggered you. Let me try again, forget that I used the word "indoctrination." Let's go with "grooming" instead. This programming is grooming good Christian kids.

By the way, for anyone with young kids that think this project will be stuffy or boring because of the Christian angle, pick up some of the Brave Books saga series. Great illustrations and story lines that open doors to conversations with kids on important/real-life topics. And check out the guest authors. Our kids like As You Grow.

Do you have children? I have found that it is the libs WITHOUT any children who are ESPECIALLY upset by this type of stuff. It's very weird.

I think you missed my point here. They left indoctrinates children to grow their ranks through entertainment, education. They use them as pawns in their culture war against the west when they should just be able to enjoy their childhoods.

Values should come from parents, not a TV show or drag queen pole dancing at school.
