Remember when Trump wanted to add crude to the SPR during covid when oil prices crashed???

...and with gas prices so goes inflation on everything else.

If gasoline prices rested solely on crude oil prices, then you'd find few producers willing to take the hit on $82 oil so as to drop the pump price significantly.

DRILL BABY DRILL sounds exciting, but at $82 producers aren't going to put much dough into expanding supplies. Sure, the big boys would like some of the proven reserves lands opened to lease, but not to expand overall production. It would be cheaper to recover -- and thus boost their bottom lines -- than drilling deeper, harder holes.

There are many factors affecting pump prices, and while the price of crude is certainly one of them the current world supply isn't driving an outrageous bump.

How much of that is Maryland taxes? I bet it's cheaper a few miles away in VA. Or you're getting gas at the most expensive station in your area.

unfortunately it's not just a "few miles away" in Virginia as there is the Potomac River and the only crossing is the I-495 Beltway which has been under construction the last 5 months.

or Point of Rocks 35 miles away. or Harpers Ferry 50 miles away.
Just looked on Gas Buddy. That Exxon is the most expensive gas on there for Bethesda. Tons of Regular under $4/gal. So yes, you are getting gas at the most expensive station.

I see a new "79" that's just as dumb as the other "79".

If you wonder why inflation is where it is and everything is way more expensive, look no further than gas prices. It starts and end with energy costs and this dumb **** administration is doing everything they can to drive prices up.

You should move. I filled up for $2.99 in Magnolia.

No. Texas is full.

I used to fill up in Ruther Glen before heading north. If I missed that one and needed fuel, I'd hit Jessup. Granted, that was diesel.
