I've lived in Georgetown for 11 years. When I moved here it was THE county you did not want a ticket of any kind. Tough on crime, hauled homeless and vagrants to Austin. Fast forward to today. Full of crazy homeless, had a few lousy judges and DA, green energy blew electricity prices thru the roof, elections have been won by republicans by literally 10s of votes. One judge I know specifically won by 12 votes. Georgetown/williamson county is going to be taken over a la Denver by Californians. It's basically toast.

Where are the homeless? I am in GT a a lot and I have never seen a homeless person, so I am curious on this point. I do agree with the rest of your post, though.

We office off of Williams Drive. Numerous times they cruise through the parking. There are a couple specific homeless that are mumbling incoherent and violent things. I stay away from them. But people have relayed what they say. I assume they camp in the greenbelt along both branches of the San Gabriel.

We've lived in Gtown since '95 when there was 15-16K residents. Sun City certainly changed the dynamics of the town, mostly for the better. But, there are a lot of former military residents in Sun City, and a lot of them are Democrats. They're used to the federal tit, I guess.
Williamson County, on the other hand, has seen an invasion of liberals. The suburban areas north of Austin such as Cedar Park and Leander are overrun with Cali implants working for the tech companies. Once the Samsung chip plant in Taylor is up and running, there is a good chance Williamson will be purple at best.
Bell County has barely kept our mutual US Rep Republican. Williamson county has gone for the Democrat the last two times i believe.

If Carter had an opponent in 2022, i'm not sure he'd have won.

also, stop letting the Austinites get past you to Temple/Belton/Salado.
In fairness, when was the last time you saw John Carter in public? We went to the Reagan dinner at Kalahari last summer, and he's in worse shape than Biden. It's sad that the local party leadership keeps trotting him out there.

I had a table for a health fair in sun city in 2016. Had a basket full of skillets for families to take with a sign saying 'basket of deplorables'

I'd say 70% of the people to walk by said they loved it. But quietly. Had a group of liberals come screaming at me. So loud my nurses walked away. Safe to say everyone was looking at us. I told them if they kept screaming they couldn't have any skittles. They ran to the health fair program manager and she told them I was not breaking any rules.

So I think the number of libs is far less than many think. They are just the loudest.

My mom lives in Sun City. I'm there quite a bit and go for walks in the neighborhood all the time. During the gov election it seemed almost 70/30 Abbot vs Beto signs. Also the voting locations were packed. Old people vote. The signage for politicians always go out of their way to say how conservative they are. I think it is pretty conservative.
