Is zergling rush meant to be a comment about sending the cheapest units (illegal immigrants) into enemy territory to disrupt their economy?

Is that the meta?

wow something no one has ever thought of.

and EXACTLY how do you propose that would happen?

specific details about how to do that under the Constitution.

or does the Constitution no longer matter to most of the Trumpers?

I would rather secede and take over Mexico. Wage war on the cartels and corruption and have a much easier border to control to the south.

Just Chicago, NYC, LA, maybe Austin.

I'd rather we revert back to city-states after a certain size is met.

Is that a fair thing to do for California conservatives who just about outnumber Texas conservatives?

Because the conservative/libertarian ideology tries not to impose it's desires onto others beyond what the Constitution says.

Texas can control it's own fate.
Libtopias can control their own fate.

Our current union has Libtopias forcing their ideologies onto conservative/libertarian areas, which is not sustainable long term.

OP has figured it out. Just kick those states out of the union. Brilliant!

Mexico believes that California belongs to it so perhaps they will annex it.

A Mex/Tex "merger" would actually make a stupid amount of sense if you could somehow get rid of the significant levels of corruption. I honestly wouldn't care about the drug cartels if you could get them to act civilized like the US pharmaceutical & tobacco cartels.

Here is the issue... It is not the states it is the urban centers. So a secession is not the states from the Union, but the urban centers from the rural areas. Just how would that work?

Every single one of our nation's problems would be solved overnight if we could somehow institutionalize or "quarantine" the vast majority of the modern left. EVERY. SINGLE. ONE.

Will any leader ever have the stomach to save this country from these evil wretched people that hate what is good, love what is evil, and are driven purely out of hatred and envy?

Nope. They will win, and this country (and the entire west) will fall.

Well...perhaps the same way things worked when the US "seceded" from Britain???

Quote:

John Adams wrote that approximately one-third of the American population supported the move for independence (Patriots), one-third of the population supported the king (Loyalists), and one-third supported neither side (neutral).
After the split, I'm sure some will leave and others will just remain "the loyal opposition" in Texas as they were before.

How about just making a law that makes it illegal for government to aid any state that goes bankrupt? If a state goes bankrupt, they must leave the US until they pay ALL their debts.

Would that be more applicable?

Or, how about a law that when a state goes bankrupt, another state (or two) is allowed to pay their debts and then remove that state from senate/house representatives. Those go to the states bailing them out.

Better?

When Cali can't pay their bonds, they should lose their right to govern.

I think it would take more than a law...probably have to amend the Constitution. But, I wouldn't have a problem with either of those...

It would be harder to exclude Austin into a Vatican City style enclave if we did it that way. Texit would allow us to leave Dallas behind as part of Oklahoma and carve out Austin as a Vatican City/West Berlin type of enemy encampment.

If Texas could secede without its major metropolitan areas it would be set.

https://kinder.rice.edu/urbanedge/triumph-triangle-how-texas-can-hold-its-urban-economic-powerhouse

Quote:

. . . .
The Triangle includes five of the 13 biggest cities in the nation (Houston, San Antonio, Dallas, Austin, and Fort Worth). And in the last decade, 85 percent of the population growth in Texas has occurred in the Triangle.

Economically, too, the Texas Triangle is a powerhouse. The four metropolitan economies had a combined GDP of approximately $1.3 trillion in 2018 - about 6.3 percent of the US economy and almost 70 percent of the Texas economy.
. . .
Last and perhaps most important, Texas must find ways to spread the Triangle's prosperity to the 10 million people who live in the rest of Texas - and especially the 3 million people who live in rural Texas.
. . .
https://wacotrib.com/opinion/columnists/ray-perryman-population-shift-away-from-rural-texas-has-limits/article_a6d76816-249a-11ed-befc-2fa7a075729c.html
Quote:

. . . The rural population increased by only 9.82% from 2001 to 2021, to almost 3.2 million (10.65% of the total). . . .

Maybe instead of trying to blockade, quarantine, or give away 70% of the state's economy, we should hold the cities up at gun point and make them share their wealth with the 3 million rural folks.
