I love Texas A&M, and I'm proud to be an Aggie, so it's really disappointing to see the hate and vitriol on here that's directed towards everything/everyone who doesn't agree with right-wing ideology.

Such hostility does not align with our core values and who we are as Aggies. I know it's easy to get caught up in our own political rhetoric I've certainly done so myself but we shouldn't let it consume us. At the end of the day, I genuinely believe we all want what's best for the country, and we just different ideas of how to get there. I'll leave it at that.
Disgrace to A&M..
This waste of space will be working as a barista or a middle school teacher in the People's Republik of Austin. One day, he will be walking out to his Subaru and get assaulted by some ne'er-do-well. He will call the police, crying, only to see them not show up anytime soon because there are actual murders happening all around them. And this waste of space will get on local media proclaiming how worthless the cops are, that the assaulters deserve to have his stuff because of white privilege.

I have no doubt that this poster will be an embarrassment for 99% of Ags.
That part is true. I have seen folks on the austin board, and on reddit that behave this way. Shocked that the cops don't respond to reports of gunshots in bad neighborhoods.

I will be **proudly** voting for Garza. Garza has been an awesome DA for Travis county. He holds cops accountable for their crimes, doesn't waste taxpayer dollars imprisoning people for simple drug possession, treats kids like kids, and is fair in his dealings.

If you're concerned about a tyrannical, over-powerful government, then you should want more DAs like Garza.

What about criminals, does he hold them accountable for their crimes? Because that's what his actual job is.
His job is to represent the people of Travis County, not to blindly go for the highest possible amount of sentences/convictions.

The "tough on crime" approach doesn't work. That's been proven time and time again. It doesn't reduce crimes, and it certainly doesn't do anything to help victims. It's time to try something different, and I fully support taking more of a restorative justice approach.

But if you want to talk about holding criminals accountable, let's talk about Abbott trying to pardon Daniel Perry, who was convicted by Garza's office after he murdered a Black Lives Matter protester in cold blood. It's Republicans like Abbott who are letting violent criminals off the hook, yet I don't hear a peep about that from y'all.
This post perfectly encapsulates the mental damage that can be done by left wing propaganda. You have people vehemently defending positions that are so far removed from reality that they appear to be fueled by psychotic delusions to the outside world. Furthermore, this poster is one of the few leftists that dare to venture outside of their propaganda bubble and his/her/zir's fantastical narratives are still beyond comprehension to the sane world. Can you imagine the warped minds of those who don't? The saturation, isolation, and confirmation bias of an all encompassing and ever present left wing propaganda machine, has pushed millions of otherwise normal people to the edge of insanity. Sad

I live in Austin and noticed how incredibly soft Travis County DA Jose Garza has been on crime. Yesterday, I voted for Daniel Betts on the Republican ballot.

We voted Thursday and were the only ones in the polling place besides the poll workers.

Get out and VOTE!

Last day to vote early.

The D->R crossover (9.3%) is actually more than the R->D crossover (7.1%) so far but the D turnout (3.4%) is higher than the R turnout (1.9%) in Travis County.

Austin 'at the brink of disaster' as police shortages hit crisis level: 'God help us all'

Bullock continued, "our staffing has been set back at least 15 years and at the same time we've dealt with a population growth of over 250,000 new residents. Combine that with a district attorney who has made it very clear that targeting officers and releasing criminals is his priority not public safety."

Just saw an Garza ad claiming endorsements from Comrade Cesar, Doggett, Beto, and Abortion Barbie.

With the leftist lineup defending Garza and his lenient approach to criminals, the useful idiots will do as they are told and likely re-elect him.

Yep seems to be happening and by a sizeable margin.

Guess the folks in Travis County hate themselves or is it Commies from tu?

Garza is communista piglet Daniel Ortega wannabe. And a complete undeveloped mexer soyboy.

Let Austin burn. They voted for it. Ron DeSantis welcomes APD officers to Florida.

Once again I would like to point out that our wonderful 130 toll road allows me to never have to actually go in to Austin.

If you saw the loony poster here that said he will "proudly vote for Garza", just realize that is your run of the mill Austin voter. Sad to see my hometown be so far gone, but it is what it is. It's headed for Portland/San Francisco levels of dysfunction.

Yep. Wife and I were relocated to Austin in 2000 as part of my promotion at the time. Newlyweds. We loved Austin in the early 2000's. But when it was time to start having kids we moved up the road to Gtown. But we still liked to go back downtown for fun when we could.

Outside of works reasons, I have not been downtown except passing thru or for work in probably 15 years. Total leftist dump. Nice to go to the Arboretum or Domain in North Austin now and then but otherwise I steer clear.

And it is a shame. Sure it was liberal but it wasn't commie back then. It was genuinely a fun town that felt safe.

Leftists literally FU everything they touch. How can they even deny it?
