Actually it is Trump folks that think insulting folks that might vote for Trump thinking that will help win them over. If you want to get people that don't like Trump to begrudgingly vote for him you should try making positive arguments that might influence them. Just a thought.

Or you can just blame them when Trump loses. I'm a guy who doesn't like Trump but will vote for him. I also realize he will sell us out on the 2A most likely just like he tried to do last time.

People who don't understand the need to crawl over glass while holding your nose, if you feel that is necessary, are not paying attention.
I think what you are missing is you have people that feel Trump brings all kinds of other baggage and if he loses maybe he will be purged from the GOP. You also are missing that people fear he will sell them out.

I'm voting for the nominee, I just am telling you how to get those folks if you want them.
My big worry is that he is well on his way to destroying the GOP forever.

Doubtful. Years ago, the GOP survived the assault by Jerry Falwell's mob of the moral majority clan so it can survive don and his family tree and the extremists of MAGA once they're culled and disposed back to the abyss. The party needs self reflection and a come to Jesus reality check.

Well you seemed to have vast knowledge about Kennedy and Reagan. You should be able to do research about their dad, Ted, Bobby etc etc. Won't take much.

Im with you. I voted for Trump in 16 and 20, and DeSantis was my first choice in 2024 but with DeSantis gone, and the nomination going to Trump, Kennedy is getting my vote

I voted for Ross Perot. Perot was hands down the best anti-establishment candidate.

Bush lost because I voted for Perot. I should have voted for Bush.
Bush would have lost the election without Ross Perot.

Every indication is that Perot took more voters from Clinton than he did from Bush.
You keep saying that, and you have studies...but, but, but...
But I was there and I saw the debates and how Perot, Clinton, and the willing Debate Moderators ganged up on Bush big time.
You are WRONG - Perot absolutely hurt Bush enough to make the difference.
Bush's failure to stop a tax increase also hurt Bush enough to make the difference.
So who knows?

I was there, too.

The one argument in favor of Perot costing Bush the election is not that he "stole votes" from Bush but that his criticisms of the Bush convinced people not to vote for Bush. I can believe that.

One turnoff for me was the government's efforts to Perot's efforts to go to Viet Nam to find American soldiers that had never been able to return to the US and the Bush administration opposition to the plan and Bush's statements that it was not possible that any US soldiers that might have been left could not possibly have been alive by then. That strongly bothered me regardless of whether Perot was a candidate, but it did not convince me to change my vote to Perot.

As far as Perot stealing votes from Bush, Perot did not change the results of the election. For Bush to have won, the votes for Perot would have had to have been overwhelmingly taken from Bush. But when Perot reentered the race, it affected Clinton's poll numbers heavily, not so much for Bush. And the exit polls clearly demonstrated that Clinton, not Bush, was the second choice for the majority of Perot voters.

Yeah, there was speculation on election night reporting that Perot had cost Bush the election but that was quickly shown to not be true.

Whether or not Perot was in the general election, it was Clinton's election to lose and he did not lose it.

Perot's leaving the race because of his crazy rantings about the Bush family trying to disrupt his daughter's wedding made him look like a complete nut. If he had stayed, he might have won the election.

No, it's still the two dementia-addled, liberal octogenarians at the top of their respective tickets.

Liberals suck.

LOL. TDS has folks so screwed up, they equate lower taxes, strong overseas policy, no wars, energy independence, strong and secure border, great support for Israel, defunding planned parenthood, and getting the US out of massively harmful treaties as liberal.

Yeah but trump is a liberal !/f16

There was a research group that actually studied Reagan and Trump and concluded Trump's actual policies were more conservative than Reagan's.

My favorite was these guys hammering Trump for saying Florida's abortion law was too strict. Saw post after post on how Trump was attacking from the left. TRUMP IS A LUB.

But then DeSantis all of a sudden reversed course and says he'd sign a 15 week ban. Oops. Trump was actually right.

So, an extremely conservative org is now all of a sudden liberal because they support Trump.

So lower taxes, energy independence, no wars, strong border, strong international policy, repealing Roe v Wade, defunding planned parenthood are no longer conservative because Trump actual policies reflect it.

Wow.

I can't wat until Trump has yet another critical situation to deal with. You guys are just whistling past the graveyard.

He made a terrible mistake with Fauci. But don't pretend like the script wasn't already written and he wouldn't have been impeached a third time (or something similar) had he gone a substantially different direction than what he did. There was a plan put in place during the early spring to use the pandemic make sure Trump was voted out. It involved installing Biden as the candidate (softest, most non-controversial candidate to independents) and use whatever the first big police firestorm happened for summer protests. The Minneapolis situation feel right into their lap.

The Pandemic enabled mass mail-in voting which did in Trump. That was checkmate. All the lazy voters who normally don't vote now had a super easy way to do it or they just gave their ballot to the stuffers to fill out for them.

I'm doing the same. Both Trump and Biden are completeley incompetent buffoons.

I don't understand these type of takes.

Biden is a Baffoon. Is a figure head president who drives no policy, attends no real day to day meetings and has wrecked so many things that Trump had actually set in place.

Trump had the economy humming, the military wasn't forced into new wars, Iran was in check, domestic oil and gas was doing well, the market place was handling EV's, , southern border was more secure, honestly I can just keep going……for every Trump positive the inverse is true of the man behind the curtain(Biden gets to own the bad result).

So to say the are both baffoons and equate them to being equals…..only shows the person can't save themselves from their innate liberal tendencies.
