Admittedly just saw this on Reddit and I'm sure they're celebrating it. This was apparently posted in a local library. Not sure how you can take this at face value and not assume whatever analysis that was done to produce this doesn't already have inherent bias in it that skews the perception of how left or right a news outlet is.

Anyway thought I'd post it here for some fun. I think this chart might be in the realm of accurate if you left Infowars where it is and shifted everything else two boxes to the left. The minds of liberals are a fascinating thing. Especially the Reddit mob. They truly think the media is somehow balanced. In fact even on this chart the right goes further down on "facts" and may even have more outlets according to them.

Reddit is insane. Take what you see here and move it left 1 square.

No way in hell is the AP in the middle-- left side of skews left, for example.

Hey guys Rachel Madcow "skews left". CNN is just barely left of center. The more I look at this the more absurd it gets. Just a peak into the minds of these people.

invalid list, it doesn't even have "i saw it on some random Twitter account" or "i did my own research"

They had a Reddit sub bringing back Sherman from the dead to burn the South for its backing Texas in its border dispute with the Biden Admin.

The sad thing is they still think its 1865 and that they would easily walk over and burn Texas, Ga, Fla,etc to the ground as if going to a party.

Could you image the reaction if we talked about burning Washington DC or blue states to the ground? It would not surprise my if some crazy Reddit regular goes off the rails and hurts someone..

Edit: I forgot, you personally need to hide. Lots of them wanted to burn Atlanta again. I guess thinkin' all those sky scrapers going up would be cool.

Agree with others here. Move the Apex to skews left and it is probably accurate. Also, if viewers/subscribers should also be added you would see that largest media companies skew left/hyper left.
oh no
How long do you want to ignore this user?
not a single web, podcast or TV media source from the middle or left "contains misleading info" or "contains inaccurate/ fabricated info".

most of pravda is in the middle so you know you can trust it.

Yep, move the top scale to the right, so that the AP, ABC, etc. are near the line between "hyper-partisan left" and "skews left", which is an accurate description. The WSJ is the middle - it's editorial page skews right but the rest of it skews slightly left. And who describes Fox News as "hyper-partisan right"? Not the hyper-partisan right.

I don't know about burning Washington DC to the ground, but I have prayed that California would slide into the Pacific. Does that count?

I post on Reddit but I mainly stick to the highly specialized subreddits, all the mainstream subreddits that don't explicitly ban political discussion/topics go hard left and any subreddit that gets popular gets brigaded with leftist talking points (e.g r/JoeRogan).

Any outlet that pushed the Russia collusion fraud or denied the Hunter Biden laptop story is partisan left and not reliable. Most of those listed need to move down and to the left.

This chart has been around for years… and it was laughable even back in pre-TDS era.

The way to properly read the chart is to turn it 30 degrees counter clockwise so the "neutral" peak shows half way between AP and InfoWars.

i know the median f16 poster will balk at the idea that the msm punching bags are in the middle of the overton window, mostly because that's as far left as their media exposure often goes, but if you think posters like me are leftists and communists you might get an aneurism reading any of those "hyperpartisan left" sites. we're talking people who believe cnn may as well be infowars for how far right it is compared to them.

There are a few things on Reddit that are pretty interesting and seem to be politic free, so I enjoy those. I made the mistake of discovering the r/Texas subreddit and was shocked by the almost 100% leftist talking points about almost anything related to Texas but especially the border and crime related to it. There are volumes of people purporting to be from Brownsville to El Paso literally claiming that there is no border crisis, that they have never seen an illegal alien, or that it's all fabricated by Abbott to keep the redneck rubes fired up. People supposedly posting from Austin, SA, Houston, etc. nearly all say the border crisis is something only a flat earther would believe.

WSJ has a decidedly right-wing editorial board though. They belong on the right side for that (but not too far in - their news coverage is usually fine).

Your argument taken to its natural conclusion: "North Koreans have neutral media because it fits within their Overton window."

Consensus =/= accuracy. The AP is solid left because they present things to deceptively favor the left. Whether an average Joe smells the bias has no bearing on whether it exists.

The media has been and out-of-control leftist mouthpiece for decades now.

Their current era of yellow journalism must be dealt with, and will be more than a historical footnote.

Where is Bloomberg?

I try to listen to that on Siris sometimes for financial news and I have to turn it off due to bias

This morning they were talking up how this was the best deal the Republicans would ever get and it would prevent future presidents from doing what Biden is doing

Neglecting the fact that it would likely prevent future presidents from ever reducing the flow of illegals below that 5,000 number

For "capitalists" their communist tendencies do show through

Then, 2 hours later when I turn back the idiot hostess is asking about Boeing and wondering why making something with 100,000+ is so hard to build right

Yes it is. Guy on my FB has TDS and regularly posts things like this. All of his political postings are blatant lies and/or pretty stupid. But, he seems to believe it all.

What I find amusing is how full of himself he is and very confident in his own high intelligence and understanding of what is going on in this world.

What I find disturbing is that there are sites such as this that are feeding people complete lies and fabrications or things with no details or context.
