Hell, didn't one of those liberal CNN shmucks interview Osama Bin Laden just a few yrs before 9/11?

Edit: Just looked it up. Yep, 1997. Liberals are absolute hypocrites. True deplorables in every conceivable way.

it's no mystery the "indulging putin to own the libs" comments are all coming from the hardcore maga posters. putin's whole strategy is to amplify their populist, anti-interventionist sentiment so he can continue his wars of aggression against europe unchecked. this wink and nod game he and tucker play is pretty transparently meant to manipulate maga's reflexive tendency to support anything that could remotely be construed as anti-establishment or owning the libs, even if it's tacit endorsement of a dictatorial authoritarian murderous regime hell-bent on the west's destruction.
this post is void of reality

you know that puti never invaded while trump was president only when obama and biden

russia thanks you for your lack of seeing reality
You probably also think trump can end the war in 24 hours because he said so.
No. But I can guarantee you he will at least try. You're defending a traitor.
Who am I defending?
Biden. You are actively trying to defeat his primary threat, DJT. But please tell us that's not what you're doing.
Meh. I'm not changing my stance on Trump. Pick a better candidate next time.
Point, you missed it or are too humiliated to address it.
You and several others have made your point pretty clear by derailing many threads lately into a reductive "us or them" ultimatum. I'm just telling you I reject your ultimatum.

think about this from putin's perspective. generally, american democrats want to continue funding the military you are at war with, a war you should have won many months, causalities, and resources ago. generally, trump's party wants to stop funding this military. who would you want in power?

the notion that the timing of the invasion is proof that trump is a bulwark against russian aggression is elementary and naive. trump and his surrogates are a vector for the ideologies that allow putin to further his ambitions against the west.

My IQ dropped from reading the gaslighting crap I just quoted. It is simply more "Trump is Putin's BFF" nonsense.

Here are "vector" Trump's policies that "allowed Putin to further his ambitions":

"...the Trump administration imposed new sanctions on Russia including strict sanctions on seven of Russia's richest individuals and 17 top government officials for their interference in our elections.

The sanctions directly penalized President Vladimir Putin's inner circle by prohibiting them from traveling to the United States ever again. He did this by opening a bank account in the West, preventing them from doing business with the West and prohibiting anyone else to do business on their behalf.

The sanctions were significant among the toughest sanctions ever placed on individuals in a foreign country, with the exception of perhaps Iran and North Korea. Yet like many of Trump's successes, it received minimal mainstream media coverage.

During his first month in office in January 2017, President Trump upheld strict sanctions to punish Russia for its unlawful 2014 annexation of Crimea. With those sanctions, the Trump administration punished more than three dozen individuals and organizations that were behind the invasion of Ukraine.

Even Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin had a hand in the actions, stating that there would be no easing of the sanctions until Russia meets its obligations under the 2015 Minsk agreement the ceasefire agreement between Russia and Ukraine.

In August 2017, Trump signed a bill slapping even more sanctions on Russia this time specifically aimed at the country's energy and defense industries. Congress made the legislation Trump-proof, meaning that no executive order could ever undo such sanctions; yet Trump signed it anyway.

In fact it was Trump not Obama who ordered the closure of Russian diplomatic properties in San Francisco, Washington, D.C., and New York City that appeared to be a threat to American security.

It was also President Trump who shuttered the Russian consulate in Seattle."

Here's more:

"Furthermore, it was President Trump who led the world in expelling Russian diplomats after the Russian government was suspected of carrying out a nerve agent attack in the United Kingdom against one of their former spies. President Trump moved swiftly to expel 60 Russian diplomats from U.S. soil, and other countries followed suit by expelling dozens as well."

Oh, and more:

"In addition to stringent sanctions, President Trump has also called out Russia publicly.

During a landmark speech last year in Poland, Trump lambasted Russia for using oil to hold NATO's Eastern European countries hostage. Trump underscored the dangers of those countries' dependence on Russian oil deliveries to keep their people warm during the winter, leading to their inability to criticize Russia the rest of the year.

The Trump administration even offered to help identify alternative energy sources for the region. Trump's remarks on European soil was the energy industry equivalent of Reagan's "tear down that wall" speech."

There is plenty more, but it's pearls before swine, as they say.

Liberals are liars.

No your ridiculous attempt to accuse posters that agree with a single issue or point as being TOTALLY supportive of that leader or ideology. That is bull crap.

You can agree on a single point and disagree on the other 99%. Your effort was pathetic attempt at what the left loves to do-- paint with a very wide brush.

Wonder how much the Biden Crime Family schemes like Burisma have hampered Ukraine's ability to defend themselves.? If they have to fire certain government officials just to keep money flowing from the US (as Biden made them do), it certainly can't make it easy to run their own government and defense.

Going back to Yeltsin being blown away by a Randalls grocery store shortly after the fall of the Soviet Union, have grocery stores inside of Russia now on a par with US stores?

When I was in Russia in 2012 many/most of their stores looked normal. We even walked through a mall in Moscow near the Kremlin and other than the Russian letters/language, seemed just like an American mall. Some of the more rural areas we went through, looked a little more rustic but not like you would imagine in the Cold War 1950s or so. I don't believe we ever went into a grocery store but I remember buying some drink and food at the airport and it was like here but regarding the grocery stores maybe not quite the abundance.

I even ate at an outside terrace restaurant literally on Red Square. It was kind of surreal, especially when you see all that old video footage of them marching in front of it.

I do remember one of our guides talking about the first time he had gone to America back in the late 80s and just crying. He walked into a grocery store and was stunned because he had never seen that much choice and options of food in his life. He was old enough to remember before the fall.

I've traveled quite a bit in Europe and honestly most of it is very much like it is here now from stores to gas stations to convenient stores and everything.

Never been to Russia and am certainly not an expert but in and around Moscow and St Petersburg is likely to be pretty similar to western developed countries. The further you get from those places, it will be less so. There's a reason Russian troops were stealing appliances from Ukraine.

Most of the photos I took were of a lot of the landmarks, but I just looked through them digitally and here are just a few to show you how normal it looks there.

Moscow was OK. It had some interesting things there, but was just pretty much a real big city, much of St. Petersburg was beautiful. Like the Venice of Russia.
