Based on the 2020 presidential election:

1. Wyoming (69.94%)
2. West Virginia (68.62%)
3. Oklahoma (65.37%)
4. North Dakota (65.12%)
5. Idaho (63.84%)

Ironically here is where they rank on dependency on Federal funds

12. Wyoming
2. West Virginia
15. Oklahoma
19. North Dakota
18. Idaho

Lots of road upkeep for those who are traveling between the large urban centers.
Yeah, any time you have a highway, railroad, power line, pipeline, or similar type of infrastructure that must be built in a continuous path, it will necessarily pass through rural areas for most of its length, even if its entire purpose is to connect major cities. The left likes to spin this as "unfair" subsidies to rural areas, but it's not.

Wyoming and Idaho are in danger of getting flipped. Both have desirable areas, near enough blue states, and too small of populations to counter a blue invasion

I don't think this is true for over 10 years at least. It's a harsh weather environment still (snowflakes can't make it, ironically), and Wyoming's ability to thrash Liz Cheney is indicative of the red staying power there.

Yeah I don't mean in the immediate future but within 10 years is plausible.
