More money isn't the answer.Aggie Apotheosis said:
So why won't Republicans vote to provide more money for border security?
Methinks someone doesn't know the definition of "brunt"schmellba99 said:ProgN said:Quote:

You're not missing anything. Denver is a ****hole and the Rockies are terrible.Cinco Ranch Aggie said:

So how many of our resident Dem and Lefties are
Giving their non-tax dollars to help provide support to all the illegal aliens (call them what they are)? And your brothers and sisters not on TexAgs? How about those Dems and Lefties? Given this is such a himantarian need that y'all support - where is the additional assistance I am sure you are giving to some org going to help these folks?
Oh… yes, umm you aren't giving outside of taxes. Cause gub'mnt can fix it all. And well we know the giving patterns of lefties. It is well documented.
We also know the hypocrisy- say they are not racist but support racist policies like DIE, oh I mean DEI. Say you love kids, but are happy to mutilate them. Say science is important but only Science when it is helpful - ignore it when it isn't.
I could go on - but rant is over. "Immigration" is another issue that Lefties claim is important and then happily **** the bed in terms of actual implementation.
How you are not embarrassed is beyond me. (Actually I know the reason, but will leave that for another time.)
Explain yourself please. You came across garbled and weak.RufusAg said:
I know this makes some here feel good, but it's completely alienating to whatever conservatives are left in these cities and suburbs. Someday conservative politicians might want to win a couple more of their votes if they hope to actually win a national election as opposed to whining about why they lose.

Sorry. We're full. Maybe those people need to raise holy hell where they live.RufusAg said:

The fact that we act like we're winning because we're shipping invaders all over the rest of the country just shows how hopeless it all is. "Let's take the trash on our front seat and toss it over our shoulder into the back seat. Yay! We cleaned the car!"
Ugh..
This is wholly irrelevant. I mean completely. It's extremely clear Texas can't win the border fight on its own, hell the federal government is suing Texas for trying to restrict illegal crossings. Meanwhile until the busses started running there were huge parts of this country that thought illegals deserved to be here and to receive services and support. Why? Because it wasn't coming from their tax dollars or impacting their lives in any way. Now it is coming from their tax dollars and creating problems in their neighborhoods and over time that is going to change their expectations from their elected officials. When the mayor of NYC is publicly calling for stronger border control you know it's having an impact and that's major progress. All these blue cities complaining about strain on resources means they're feeling the pain of their own policies. Keeping up the flow is how you get them from there to "something has to change". It'll happen at some point.
It's the tactic that will wake people to the real solution. Close the border and deport in mass or go the way of Europe.Joes said:LOYAL AG said:Joes said:

Alright, well, I'm of the strong opinion that once these people are in the country there's no getting them out. Shuffling them around is not a solution, it's for nothing but for a laugh. The idea that liberals will "learn a lesson from this if they see it themselves" is silly to me. It's like hoping people in Chicago will finally learn not to vote Democrat. Never gonna happen. I guess we'll see what happens but I'm confident we'll gain nothing meaningful from this.
The alternative is to have Blue State America, Sanctuary America, continue pretending the border is safe and illegal immigration is not their problem.Joes said:

And screaming while they get dragged there. Wonder how many actual Americans and the cops that serve them get killed until they wake up.bam02 said:

I read a Nextdoor post from Boulder. Lady was asking for donations of furniture as she plans to host families from Venezuela. All the comments were praising her. The comment that really floored me was "Be the change you want to see." This disgusted me. I live in Boulder county. These leftists have destroyed everything they touched.
It's called "misery loves company". If they liberals and progressives stay in control, we might as well deliver misery to their doorstep as isolated as they are.Joes said:LOYAL AG said:Joes said:

it's not about winning or losing. the states cannot deport anyone. but, what Abbott can do is show the blithering liberal idiots across the country just how massive the problem really is. some folks are actually opening their eyes. it's why joe and the Dims are desperate to get an immigration deal passed. his base is getting pissed.Joes said:

one safe place said:I like that the illegals are sent to these sanctuary cities but I wish we would send them to smaller cities in those states. Cities similar in size to the Texas cities that are being invaded, like Eagle Pass. They won't have the resources to handle it and hopefully it would create a lot of turmoil in those democrat states.Rattler12 said:

I may be talking out of my ass but don't most of our asylum laws require people to seek asylum in the closest neighboring country that shares their culture and language? The influx of Venezuelans here that pass over Central American countries and Mexico refutes that.
What the hell am I saying? We all know Dems pick and choose what laws to enforce and ignore.
