Let's have a bill about funding border security that does not include Ukraine, Israel, or any other red herring. Just funding for border security. Then we can see who votes for it. When you combine a bunch of unrelated issues into one bill, you get to pick and choose who blame for voting against any given issue.

Well, duh! You are.
Follow the example of your California cronies who voted to give 700,000 illegals health insurance.

I have a BIL who lives in southwestern CO and all on on UHC. He is working hard to make it happen in CO. I hope these illegal immigrants bankrupt that initiative.

Edit: I originally screwed up and embedded my post inside the quoted text.

The fact that we act like we're winning because we're shipping invaders all over the rest of the country just shows how hopeless it all is. "Let's take the trash on our front seat and toss it over our shoulder into the back seat. Yay! We cleaned the car!"

Ugh..

This is wholly irrelevant. I mean completely. It's extremely clear Texas can't win the border fight on its own, hell the federal government is suing Texas for trying to restrict illegal crossings. Meanwhile until the busses started running there were huge parts of this country that thought illegals deserved to be here and to receive services and support. Why? Because it wasn't coming from their tax dollars or impacting their lives in any way. Now it is coming from their tax dollars and creating problems in their neighborhoods and over time that is going to change their expectations from their elected officials. When the mayor of NYC is publicly calling for stronger border control you know it's having an impact and that's major progress. All these blue cities complaining about strain on resources means they're feeling the pain of their own policies. Keeping up the flow is how you get them from there to "something has to change". It'll happen at some point.

Abbott should be sure to mix the nationalities he is sending to these cities. That would probably increase the chance of riots.

It's written as if Abbott has personally delivered every migrant to Denver. I haven't heard of busses from Texas to Denver, but I did see stats when the depressed mayor of Chicago was whining about the bussing - fewer than 10% were bussed in from Texas. Some migrants were thanking Abbott for the free transportation since they were broke when they finally crossed the border, and the lift north was a great benefit. I'm sure the same sort of thing is happening in Denver - migrants are going there because free stuff. It also shows what a great move this was for Abbott. Just a little bit of effort makes all the headlines and implants him in all their heads.

this busing illegals to blue states is awsome. Let's say the border finds it way under control and the invasion halts itself. Greg should continue to bus the detained illegals to blue states. Get them out of Texas. You can go to jail in Texas for 5 years or go live in New York/Colorado/California. Handcuffs or bus ticket?

That's point of bussing illegals to these sanctuary cities; have those liberal cities pay for illegals and not Texans.

If we are going to have an open border, the cost of it ought to be shared with non-Texans. And especially with the people who advocate and maintain open borders.
Costs should not be shared. The costs should be born entirely by those that are in favor of open borders.

The premise is wrong. Biden/his admin has Denver at a breaking point . Abbott is simply transferring the problem out of his state and more fairly distributing it to those places that support open borders .

Okaaay. Let's take a little trip back to elementary school so Aggie Apotheosis can catch up.

Border apprehensions being up do not mean that this administration is doing a better job at the border. They are up because we have 10x the number of people attempting to enter than during the past. Why is this? It is because this administration has not only signalled that people who arrive at the border can stay, but also because leftists in this country are supporting NGOs that are ORGANIZING the migrant caravans of people to arrive at the border.

Also, apprehensions no longer mean stopping and preventing arrivals. An encounter today =/= an encounter under previous administrations. Because CBP is processing more people and releasing them into the country rather than turning them back, that means your little graph is meaningless. By the way, this is exactly why Mayorkas is being impeached.

Get it now? Will you admit what's right in front of all of us? Remember, there's lies, damn lies, and statistics. you should know better than to attempt something so juvenile. You get an F.

Because the money won't be used for border security.

It will be used for more people to process asylum claims quicker and get more illegals into the US.

Eagle Pass and Del Rio have a combined population of about 65,000. Since liberals hear about these places so much, they assume there's hundreds of thousands living there. No, they are the most widely known small cities in the world now.

I like that the illegals are sent to these sanctuary cities but I wish we would send them to smaller cities in those states. Cities similar in size to the Texas cities that are being invaded, like Eagle Pass. They won't have the resources to handle it and hopefully it would create a lot of turmoil in those democrat states.

Aspen, where the illegals flow like wine.
I imagine with the terrible economy and such bad global warming there should be plenty of ski resorts with open occupancy that can take in these people.

It's worse, brother. We had a team meeting there and went to a Rockies game afterwards. Yes it was a Wednesday, but a nice large bar closed at 8 or 9 pm which seemed insane. With a game ending soon nearby, you would have thought they'd stay open later.

Oh, and potheads and homeless all over, like Austin.

Evergreen. Underrated place.
My wife's sister and her husband live in Evergreen. Its a beautiful place to visit and would hate to see it become a s***hole. However, maybe a place like Evergreen becoming a s***hole would open people's eyes.
