As was said on another thread, couldn't lose me because he never had me.
The absolute hilarity that this person thinks Trump supports those things is laughable.Jhar54 said:

Never had me. And talking about his dick size in presidential debate sealed it for me. He's a narcissist egomaniac that only cares about himself. He's destroying the Republican Party and handing elections to democrats.

Unfortunately, he's incapable of that and will lose this next election as well. Keep telling yourself he's "the guy". We will lose again and y'all will continue be deceived into thinking the entire system is rigged. Nope. He's just an absolutely atrocious man and candidate.milner79 said:YellowPot_97 said:

If the debate remarks are going to be your trigger, at least be honest about it. Rubio went there first. Of course Trump is going to respond. But just like msm headline writers, you make it sound like Trump initiated some untoward comment without providing context.

but to act like Trump is any worse than any of the other geriatrics who run this country is a shortsighted at best.
Tax cuts don't add to the debt. Tax cuts led to higher revenues, as they usually do, but COVID spending was very high. Revenues increased, even through the lower activity during COVID, then exploded after COVID.Aggie Apotheosis said:
You can't realistically run against socialism when federal outlays increased from 4.1 trillion to 7.25 trillion during your four years in office and when a debt 240 years in the making increased by 40% during those same four years. Even Trump's signature Tax Cuts and Jobs Act added $1.9 trillion to the debt. Wait, I take that back: you can REALISTICALLY run because as somebody ---- maybe P.T. Barnum ---- said there's a sucker born every minute, but you shouldn't be able to run, morally speaking. I mean, Trump said he'd balance the budget, did the exact opposite, and people here still support him.

Trump never lost me. At every new election the clock resets. I assess the viable candidates (not third-party) that are presented and choose the best one for me and my family. I don't get caught up in a historical "baggage". I just make a cold, calculated decision void of feeling…you know, like a rational adult should.
Rational adult, the opposite of Trump.
I don't follow. Do you not think Trump is irrational and therefore would not vote for himself?
Or maybe you're saying that Trump isn't a rational adult therefore you won't vote for him…which would help Biden win the presidency. I guess Biden is the rational adult you prefer. Bold choice.
A vote for Trump in the primary is a vote for Biden in the General Election. He is going to lose. NH exit polls exposed how weak he is.
Got it. You don't think Trump can beat Biden. Do you know that Haley can? If you don't actually know? Then it's sounds like you're guessing on both fronts. Also, I don't know that I would solely focus on NH exit polls as a proxy for what will happen in any election. Maybe you have some historical data that shows a strong correlation. I don't keep track of that stuff.
All of the general election polls on 538 (I only looked at those reported in the last week or so) show Trump leading Biden. Looks like Haley's not the only one that can topple Biden…if you believe in polls…which I assume you do since you referenced exit polls. If both Haley and Trump are projected to win the election versus Biden, I'll vote for the one with the best policies, which is Trump for me. Now, if polls start showing that only Haley has a chance against Biden, I may change my mind…if I believe the polls.
The major problem IMO, is that now Trump is going head to head with Haley. He's getting way more TV time. People will quickly remember how unlikable the guy is. I honestly don't think he's capable of winning. And the last 3 elections prove that out.

So you don't like polls anymore? The polls say that Trump leads Biden which signifies that he's projected to win. If you think that changes in the future, what makes you so sure in your prognostications? Also, the last time I checked, Trump was 1-1 in elections. Placing the loss of congressional seats directly on his shoulders is disingenuous and oversimplified. We shall see.

"A person that thinks those who defend their country in uniform, or are shot down or seriously wounded in combat, or spend years being tortured as POWs are all 'suckers' because 'there is nothing in it for them,'" Kelly said of Trump. "A person that did not want to be seen in the presence of military amputees because 'it doesn't look good for me.' A person who demonstrated open contempt for a Gold Star family for all Gold Star families on TV during the 2016 campaign, and rants that our most precious heroes who gave their lives in America's defense are 'losers' and wouldn't visit their graves in France."
Obviously nothing I or anyone else is going to change your mind on the subject, but I'm a Navy veteran who has never voted for a Democrat and probably never will, but there is zero chance I will vote for this man.

Those are some rose tinted glasses that you have on. I feel like I've responded to each of the point you just mentioned, so I won't go through the trouble again. Agree to disagree. If he's the guy, I'll vote for him because Biden is so terribly bad.

Yeah, Trump is the problem with the country. What a load of sh*t. I've woken up to an open border that's going to contribute to our eventual economic collapse. Our nationalism has been destroyed. We have a generation of you owe me everything and bye the way I don't want to work to earn it. LEGAL, open looting in department and retail stores. We're singing to National Anthems??? WTF. This country has gone to hell. Mentally disturbed young men and women are mutulating their bodies. Men calling themselves a woman are given more rights than a biological female. Yeah, things are so much better now and we benefit from a lying dementia patient who is no better than the prior POTUS and much less competent. Pump your chest democratic socialist, the country was 1000 times better off under Trump. I don't like him, but he was effective.Old McDonald said:

i'll admit it's been vindicating to see many in this forum slowly wake up to what we've been saying about him since he came down the golden escalator.
You act like trump is the only person that can fix all that stuff. I dont even think he's the best choice in the GOP to do it so let's stop acting like he's our only hope. Maybe some more border bandaid executive orders, but he's not fixing ANY of that other stuff for you. And it's all moot if he loses (again), anyway.Reload8098 said:Yeah, Trump is the problem with the country. What a load of sh*t.
