"No one likes Trump, he will get killed in non-red states."

(Gets most votes of any candidate ever in blue NH primary.)

only a Trump grifter can ridiculously claim that winning 30,590 votes to Nikki Haley's 26,400 votes

is some kind of major triumph.

the most famous person in the world, a former President of the USA, running in his THIRD Presidential campaign, with his billion dollar estate...

and he beats Haley by 4000 votes.

wow, super impressive!! How many of those Haley voters are going to now turn around and vote Orange God King in November?

he is getting curbstomped when it's the entire country voting.

Nikki Haley got her ass kicked and is done.

It's more than MAGA that thinks 2020 election was messed up. We need constitutional amendment for nationwide electoral reform.
That's rather telling. Even those closer to the center don't believe the 2020 election was legitimate.
Or people are embarrassed to admit they're MAGA on the record
Yeah clearly it was that.

It couldn't possibly be that most people outside of the Dem true believers who think Biden is of sound mind and won more votes than Obama by hiding in the basement aren't buying it.

It's a maga conspiracy!

This is a great find. How many videos are there of people in 2016 or 2020 going to Trump rallies to confirm their bias of delusional idiots, and they walk away and are like well they are thoughtful. They are nice. They are optimistic.

I'm sure there were some but this seems overblown. It's very common in NH to be undeclared. A lot of libertarians here I guess you could say.
Libertarians voting for the globalist/war monger Haley? What a laugh. Try another one.

A libertarian foreign policy agenda is about as far from Haley's on the political spectrum as it is possible to get.

To most of us, maybe. That's not what Trump will make it about, and turnout is going to be in large part based on those voting for Trump and against Trump.

How do they know who from undeclared was actually D? They're just repeating what trump was saying. He doesn't ducking know like most of what he espouses. I voted for him twice but can't do it anymore when we had a good Republican option.

Exit polling data…

I'm just telling you I looked at the two biggest urban (Blue) centers in NH, Nashua and Manchester, and they had some of the bigger margins for Trump. If you have some data please feel free to share it.

Those are also home to many blue collar voters. Trump is running up vote totals among that group of voters while college "educated" white collar suburban voters (especially single women) are moving towards the Dems.

And outside of online message boards, there are a lot more blue collar non college graduate voters than wishy washy college indoctrinated liberals such as yourself. So that is a good exchange for the Republican Party long term as it comes to political realignment.

Portsmouth is a cool town, but there's a rainbow and BLM flag on every corner.

we went to a coffee shop and they had a box of plan b out with a sign "for teenagers that have to hide from their parents or something."

that's highly illegal and the poverty/teenage pregnancy rate in that area is laughably low. along with the exceptionally low diversity.

most of the middle of the state is pretty based.

Which is completely irrelevant for the general election.

No real surprise that Catturd thinks it actually means something. Guy is a bootlicking dumbass who sold his soul to Trump.
"If you will not fight for right when you can easily win without blood shed; if you will not fight when your victory is sure and not too costly; you may come to the moment when you will have to fight with all the odds against you and only a precarious chance of survival. There may even be a worse case. You may have to fight when there is no hope of victory, because it is better to perish than to live as slaves." - Sir Winston Churchill

Looking at the primary totals from 2016, 2020, and 2024 it looks roughly the same for 2016/2024(just an increase in number of votes). Trump got 12 delegates in 2016/2024 and 22 in 2020. In 2016 when he won, he got around 100k votes. In 2020 he had about 129k votes. This year he got roughly 170k votes. Number of total votes has steadily increased but it definitely sounds like Hailey had several crossovers from dems/independents voting for her as well.
More women voted for trump than for hailey. Thats interesting and i think that bodes well for Trump.

Exactly. The state feels very conservative. I've lived here for 5 years. Unfortunately it has only a population of 1.4M or so so the areas you mentioned skew elections.

Driving around the town I live and talking to people (which is not far from the Mass border) you would think it's very dominant conservative.

Taking into consideration that I'm saying this from the perspective of someone whom in past (a while ago now) had very neocon tendencies when it came to foreign policy... Trump was by far the most successful foreign policy POTUS we've had since at least Reagan and it's not even close.

I probably was right there with you. I failed to see my "altruistic" motivation for foreign entanglement was so misaligned with the "opportunity" many foreign politicians see in foreign entanglements. See Joe Biden's brother.

Trump's foreign policy is as close to libertarian in viewpoint as we have had in the modern era. Not 100% on point but closer than any other recent president. One of the few policy things that he and Rand Paul have generally agreed on, for example

And I generally have little use for most libertarians.

Libertarians do generally want to convert the US military to defensive only. For single issue Libertarians, this might be a selling point.

But on everything else but that, Trump is pretty much the opposite of Libertarians. Trump may talk kind of Libertarian in some issues, but as he never showed himself to be that in his first term, there is no reason to believe that he would do that if given another term.

There are many strains of conservatism. No one strain of conservative thought has a monopoly on the term.

Of the candidates running for President this time almost all of them represented some recognized form of conservatism. DeSantis. Trump, Vivek, Elder, Scott, even Burgum & Pence although that is probably giving them too much credit on having a coherent philosophy.

Nikki Haley though…. That is an easy one.

Just what form of Conservatism did Trump represent? None?

Whatever Conservatism Trump showed in his first term was due to the adults in the room. It would be surprising if there are any adults who would Trump would want around him in 2025 or who would want to be around Trump.

There is a long strain of conservative populism thought going back to the founding of this country. From Hamilton, to Lincoln, to the southern agrarian philosophical movement, to Russell Kirk, George Wallace, Pat Buchanan…..

But if your conservative thought begins and ends with Ronald Reagan then you have a pretty small damn tent.
