I'm a Vivek supporter. He may have repeated what's in the video today but he's been saying it for a while. Vivek has been somewhat respectful of Trump for starting the MAGA movement but he's repeatedly made comments that highlight Trump's shortcomings. (Being manipulated by the deep state is the main one, also that in order for the nation to see it's best days ahead it needs to be lead by someone who's best days are not behind them). I agree with Vivek on both points but not surprised Trump decided to counter punch.

Edited to add Trump was tactically stupid to acknowledge Vivek, it legitimizes him as competition. But if Trump was good at tactics he'd be finishing out his second term.

Vivek used to be popular on Free Republic in the event Trump dropped out or died. Now he is evil incarnate.

I'm really not sure what Vivek's angle was supposed to be. MAGA can only have one dear leader. Even if they liked him, he was never going to out-Trump Trump. Unless he was swinging for a VP position, I can't figure out what he thought he was playing at. Maybe rolling the dice that trump would die before the election and that he'd be next in line?

It was always about raising his profile and showing how he could be useful to Trump. At no point has he been a serious candidate for the nomination, he doesn't even have delegates in some states. He's achieved that, this is all gravy for him.
