In a universe far, far away, a movie will be made that no one will see.

There have been at least 5 female centric live action Star Wars titles under Disney, not sure about cartoons.

I hate it when these idiots try to rewrite history.

The crazy thing is this is so fixable. Hire some dude who grew up and loved the original movies. Make them action packed and fun without trying to tell some deep meaningful social justice story. Profit.

Disney stopped caring about making money a while ago though, they seem to be mainly focused on destroying their brand.

so they saw the smoking crater of the triple bombs of the sequels and decided...Yep, that went well. Lets keep pumping that trash out.

all 3 were garbage.

worse than the garbage fanfiction you can find on tumblr.
Rogue One was good

Rogue One was the best movie probably since Jedi.

If only the other ones were half as good.

Ellen Ripley in one of the top movies of all time in 1979?

Also ignoring that Nostromo crew member Joan Lambert was trans.

Tremendously disrespectful. Also consistent with what one would expect from a Pakistani feminist activist in charge of the star wars franchise.

Elon Musk buying Twitter, and beating it up needed to happen.

Disney wrecking star wars did not. There was no benefit financially or otherwise in the long run.

Imo I could see Disney being ticked because the fan base overwhelmingly rejected their corrupted concept, and this being retaliation for the response. Idk

Rogue One was great because all the main characters died, and you didn't have to see them "develop" and suck in bad sequels.

I thought Solo was pretty entertaining. I could see a series on him zipping around the universe weaving between the Empire and the gangsters. Han Solo was the only man's man in the series. He is like a shady James Bond. But I could see Disney completely screwing that up too.

Rogue One was great because the lead actress was compelling because of her story was organic, not because of some "I'm a strong powerful woman" bit. None of it felt forced or in your face.

They paid $4 billion for the franchise. I doubt it's worth half that now. This is likely the nail in the coffin
The theme park additions alone are probably worth more than that.

Rogue One was excellent. It was a perfect segue to A New Hope.

Of the SW movies produced by Disney, it's the only one worth a damn. All of the rest have been crap.

Giving the reigns to a young inexperienced woman picked entirely for her gender and skin color?!

Well it worked super well for the blockbuster smash hit that was The Marvels so this should be fine!

If they sell Lucas Film, which they may do, the theme park additions won't be part of the transaction. Likely pay a royalty

Rogue One was the only good movie they've done since Disney bought Star Wars. Who the lead was, was irrelevant.

The Mandalorian is actually kind of fun, although the latest season was not nearly as good as the others.

The Book of Boba Fett, aka the Mandalorian 2.5, was a series that few wanted or asked for. It had a few good moments, but was overall fairly blah.

The Obi Wan series was meh at best.

Haven't seen Ashoka and don't care to.

Andor was fun as well.

Bad Batch is pretty cool actually and anyone can enjoy it.
"If you will not fight for right when you can easily win without blood shed; if you will not fight when your victory is sure and not too costly; you may come to the moment when you will have to fight with all the odds against you and only a precarious chance of survival. There may even be a worse case. You may have to fight when there is no hope of victory, because it is better to perish than to live as slaves." - Sir Winston Churchill

TLJ killed Star Wars. This is just Disney continuing to piss on the corpse.
TLJ castrated Star Wars.

The Mandalorian lobotomized Star Wars

Book of Boba Fett gave it dysentery

Obi Wan put it in the grave.

Ahsoka pissed on the grave.

Andor was the little blue pill that gave it life for a short period of time

The Force is Fat
“It was miraculous. It was almost no trick at all, he saw, to turn vice into virtue and slander into truth, impotence into abstinence, arrogance into humility, plunder into philanthropy, thievery into honor, blasphemy into wisdom, brutality into patriotism, and sadism into justice. Anybody could do it; it required no brains at all. It merely required no character.”

I've been a big Star Wars guy for decades. I looked forward to watching the movies with my kids like my dad did with us. Played the games, read the novels. But the last 20 years have been beyond disappointing outside a few of the games. I won't watch it, I won't encourage my kids to watch it. They took a brand that had an identity and a huge amount of great stories to pull from and haven't done a damn thing positive with it. They've made it abundantly clear that a brand that was focused on boys even if it was accessible to all no longer welcomes that demographic at all. I won't be coming back any time soon. I'm not alone, I'm not rare. They've wrecked the brand and they are so insulated that they think people like me are the thing that is wrong with Star Wars.

Well, good luck with that.

They keep trying to push all these women in these Marvel and Star Wars movies. And it never works and then they turn around and blame everyone for being misogynists.

Just getting so sick of all these women crying boo-hoo over stuff like this. There are so many different types of movies out there for everyone, quit, trying to demasculinize everything.

I'm sure next they'll make a movie about the Civil War soon with women playing Grant and Lee.

And then dumb ass Jon Stewart just sits there nodding his head while this woman insults his gender. Could you imagine if a male director got up there and said he enjoys making women uncomfortable.
