I will start:

Most of my family are Libs but most are not terribly annoying. One cousin did show up in a Prius Hybrid, I was not surprised by her purchase. She also announced her plans to move to France in a year or two because it is so much more civilized. I kept my response to an unnoticed eyeroll.

I received a package of aromatic candles made with Soy Wax and Essential Oils. Also received what appears to be home made soap containing nuts and/or oatmeal. Another gift was some sort of small ceramic plate/coaster/not sure. That relative is very proud of her ceramic skills.

Also received a large jar of salad dressing named after some woman suffragette from about 80-100 years ago. It came with a q-code that takes you to a website where I can donate to the cause, what ever that might be. The salad dressing looks good though.

Couple gifts were wrapped in pieces of fabric which seemed strange to me.

None of this happened.

I'd disown the whole family for supporting communism.

I'm so happy that I don't have any in my immediate family.

We don't allow Democrats in our family.

I just pretend I voted for Trump.

Thankfully this year's Christmas was very light and enjoyable.

My brother is a gay lib. We don't talk politics.

I'm actually more bothered by him being lib than gay.

The only libs in our extended family are on the east coast. You know the type, wore masks, ate Thanksgiving and Christmas meals outside, staggered seating, so the Covid germs wouldn't get anybody. Probably had a fan blowing the germs past each other. But they don't visit anymore out of fear of Covid. Suits me just fine.

Get a hijab/burka and let here know since 80% of Paris is no go zones for Europeans. She will need these to walk down the street without getting spit on or gRaped.

-Cops are hunting blacks.
-All Biden ballots were authentic votes.
-Climate change is caused by man not nature.
-Women who celebrate their baby's gender are wrong, but aborting their babies, no prob.
-Racism was involved in G. Floyd's death.
-Vaccines are as good as natural immunity.
-Jan 6 was an actual insurrection.

We had a holiday party at my lib boss's house a couple of years ago (lots of distancing and masks, everything was outside at first)

After it got colder, we went inside to play games. One co-workers husband (who chose to be addressed by his last name only) kept chugging one particular wine that was available, primarily because it was organic.

There was also praise for my boss who had wrapped presents in pillow cases. Not a bad idea, but she did it so as not to waste paper. There was a spill at one point and someone asked for paper towels to clean it up and she brought some homemade rags (still not necessarily a bad thing).

I half expected to see "family cloth" in the bathroom, but there was actually toilet paper (probably organic).

We also were requested to label any food we brought to be inclusive of vegan and gluten-free folks.

It was an interesting night

Shocking that there was actual TP in there, and not 3 seashells.

Only thing close in my family is my teenage niece but I barely count her as she's in the dumb rebellious phase with no self awareness whatsoever ("I'm a pagan moon goddess worshipper who shuns evil colonizing Christianity…but OMG are those Christmas presents for me?! Yay!")

We have a huuuuge extended family. And just one lib that I know of.

And he was the only one wearing a mask and still distancing himself from family and refusing to shake hands at our reunion in July 2023. He wasn't socializing…was almost like he showed up thinking he was making a statement or something. Covid completely broke him. He is just a total antisocial weirdo now and there's no coming back. Sad.

Got an immediate family that runs the gamut from Bernie Bros to liberal Dems to Blue Dogs to compassionate conservatives to MAGAs. We all get along swimmingly. Politics is rarely, if ever, discussed. Topics usually revolve around things like cars, football, cooking meats, and work. Although over the past few years, those ideologies have morphed a bit. The Bernie Bro now makes mega bucks as a computer programmer and is sliding back towards capitalism. The MAGA is really a big softy and has slid back towards center as well.

Yep it appears that it would. I put it next to the sink in the spare bathroom nobody uses. It might be there long after I am gone.

My sister is a prof at UVA, complete lib with a husband that's more or less a bill clinton type democrat. Last Christmas we were around one another was three years ago and I gave her a Reagan/Bush '84 shirt. Fun times.

One brother lives in Illinois and married a woman from there. And my other brother lives in Maryland and married a woman from Connecticut. They have all disavowed the democrat party but won't consider themselves Republican either. It's a weird dynamic but they won't vote for Biden.

I only saw the conservative side of the family this year. Ironically, they/we are all located in Los Angeles area. The liberal side all stayed home in Texas.

This is what happens when common sense clashes with liberal ideology in those that have at least a partial brain. The common sense side is telling him that liberalism is destroying the country while the liberal side is just fogging things up. This causes confusion and madness.
