You guys should read this.

Key points from our review

  • The book's scientific claims didn't fare very well overall, and we believe one of them is dangerous (the idea that high LDL cholesterol on a carnivore diet is neutral or even healthy).
  • Reference accuracy varied widely and was middling overall.
  • We think the diet is probably helpful for weight loss and managing type 2 diabetes, but its long-term health effects are mostly unknown, it may carry cardiovascular risks, and it doesn't deliver enough of several essential nutrients.
  • Given that the diet avoids nearly all common foods in favor of pasture-raised meat and mineral water, it would be hard and expensive for most people to follow.
  • There is abundant anecdotal evidence that the carnivore diet is helpful for various health problems, and we think this may point toward areas where science still has something to learn.

Bottom line: The long-term health effects of The Carnivore Code diet are mostly unknown, so take your grass-fed ribeye with a grain of salt.

I wonder what they would say the scientific accuracy is of a book that says it's good to trans the kids. But Joe Rogan and Jordan Peterson and right wingers online say eating healthy is good so the science says it's bad.

This super sciency review brought to you by Monsanto, Pfizer, and nutritionists who recommended young healthy people get the vax.

My problem with everything now adays (diet included) is when someone goes against the grain of main stream narrative it is always shat on by the main stream. I

I think the main reason for Americans getting fatter and fatter is 99% tied to sugar and processed foods. Sugar is in EVERYTHING now

Paul Saladino claims to still be eating "carnivore", but there's a ton of fruit in his "carnivore" diet now.

No lunch meats. Whole chicken, salmon, tuna, steaks, ribs. I didn't give up beer, however.

I gotta admit to having hard salami as a snack sometimes. I understand that's a no-no now but I love it.

I am cheating tonight on carnivore. I used to run a cottage law keto bakery, and this time of year my keto gingerbread cookies were a hit. So I made some tonight for the family, and at least it's almond flour and no sugar (monk fruit/erythritol and blackstrap molasses).

Ken Perry is very good. Peter Berg is another good o e on YouTube. He got demonetized though because he's pushing a common sense narrative. In my opinion anyway.

The risks of significantly elevated levels of small, dense LDL particles are definitely understated by the carnivore and keto advocates, but those risks are still far below those seen with morbid obesity and uncontrolled diabetes AND the risks cab be dramatically and (usually) easily reduced with statins. It's much harder to deal with diabetes in most patients than high LDL cholesterol.

Give me a keto or carnivore patient over a typical western diet any day. Neither diet is optimal but one is FAR less likely to lead to obesity and the consequences are far easier to deal with.

he doesn't really call himself carnivore anymore. He calls it animal based diet or ancerstrial diet. Meat, eggs, fruit, raw dairy, and honey.

While the carnivore diet has increased protein intake, decreased calorie intake, and made a bunch of 40 YO sickly people get much healthier, there is evidence, no surprise, that this diet is not conducive to telomere length, which is the key to longevity. Cruciferous vegetables, phytonutrients, and exercise have to play a role in the long game. And carbs aren't evil. They're just abused by undisciplined people.
Not being a smartass there, but can you cite the studies for me. I would like to read them, see how they were done and who did them. I agree telomere length is key to longevity but have never seen anything tying the carnivore diet to frayed ends, but then we can never stop learning.
So three conspiracy theorists walk into a bar.................You can't convince me that's a coincidence.

That's great that it worked for you. I have a lot of co-workers who take it and have lost a crazy amount of weight. I was going to take it, then wanted to see if I cut out snacking and white carbs would do anything.

I've lost about 15 pounds less than the doctor said I would with Ozempic. Granted, it's taken a few months longer, but so far, so good, and the weight is still coming off.

I figure as long as people do what works for them, that's all that matters. It's the ones who don't do anything, knowing they should, that are the problem. IMO.
There are in fact two things, science and opinion; the former begets knowledge, the later ignorance. Hippocrates
