Is the president exempt from the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA)?

We know for certain that the Presidential Records Act / Espionage Act is strict liability, but what about the FCPA?

So is there a carve out for the president and family members of the president?

Not sure. There are some circumstances that extends the SOL to 6 years but it has been awhile since I looked at that.

IANAL, so I guess this means they will have to come up with the reason for the payments. If payments were delayed and the result of actions he took as Vice President they will need evidence, emails, text messages, billing statements?

Oh that's right. I'm a leftist. Its good that I have F16 to remind me that you are only conservative if you agree with the right things like election conspiracies, Trumps innocence, FBI responsible for Jan 6 etc. And question none of it..

Up until I started posting here I always thought being conservative was based on limited government, individualism, traditionalism, republicanism. Its nice to have folks of this caliber show me that's not true.

Maybe they should start handing out special lapel pins to those who vote conservative but aren't the 'right' kind of conservative that falls in line. That way you can identify us better.
