That's absurd. When I regularly see 5 commercials in a row and 4 of them feature black women it's impossible not to notice that 80% of the commercials are routinely featuring 6% of the population. There is something to it beyond random chance. And then the very people who are constantly obsessed with "representation" start with the attacks like "Why do you care so much what skin color they are?" What a joke..

A white person can't even voice an animated black character without it being seen as racist now but as soon as straight whites are virtually replaced it becomes "Why do you care what color they are?" and "Why does it bother you to see black people?"

Look, I'll admit, I said these things on here to get a reaction. It is true that the makeup of the people in commercials do not represent the actual percentage of the population. I understand what the "people in charge" are trying to do with these commercials in reference to diversity and inclusiveness.

I think that it is beneficial for younger kids to see successful people who look like them on tv. The conversation needs to start with something that won't trigger the common disingenuous response that you noted above.

The point about seeing successful people on TV who look like them is a good point. They don't see it with baby momma and no daddy while being raised by their grandma.

But why can't they see successful people who look like them who are married to people who look like them? I know that's also not representative of reality - 70% born out of wedlock - but it's a lot more representative than what we see now. It might also encourage them to get married one day.

The thing is these commercials only do diversity a lip service instead of actually getting creative.

Think about all the commercials, it was all white people before, they just replaced with another race, basically that all cultures are the same. Conversation needs to go that way.

Any university or health /science company ads always have an African American in a white lab coat holding a beaker or leading a group of people with ubiquitous laser in the background. If yuu got rid of Affirmative action in the sciences it would be even less. There is system discrimination in higher Ed and it is against whites and especially Asians. The white libs of Academia especially stick it to Asian when it comes to Med School admissions. It is a real shame. Reminds me of a joke I heard one time. " What do you call the person who graduates last in their medical class ? " " Doctor !" Which is really scary. The malpractice cases of graduates from the 4 black medical schools is way, way, WAY higher than other schools due to melanin over merit.

Blacks are the preferred minority and overall race in this country when it comes to aggrievement, handout status, and preferential treatment. And there is nothing racist about that comment; it's a fact. We have entire industries, parallel rule sets, and infrastructure solely created for them.

To maintain that status, there has been some movement to combine Hispanics and Whites into one big white group by leveraging the fact that both are Caucasians (under less commonly used scientific terminology). Plus, the Hispanic population just keeps growing and will eventually be the majority in this country anyway.

Verse 25 has to happen first before I believe the Lord returns. So I'm not looking at the Middle East right now and wondering if it's going to be the final war before the rapture.
