Its America.
90% of American families are biracial.
90% of folks are LGBTQ.
100% of white women and 100% of black men are intelligent - yet to see a commercial where either does something stupid/banal. This is necessary because 100% of white men in America are stupid.

This is what i've learnt from commercials on the MSM.

Was going to post something along these lines

Pretty soon South Park prophecy will be true and every role in every story, movie and commercial will be a gay minority woman. The Panderverse is the perfect Libtopia since Democrats would win every election by 100%

White men have been stupid in commercials since the 80s, though.

absolutely have noticed that. Time after time you see a POC which is almost always black explaining/helping /leading /solving an issue while the white person just sits their basking in the POC brilliance. Kind of a " Black Savior complex " the other thing I see a lot is white actors in feminine roles or positions. It is all about tearing everything down that is white/straight/traditional /European.

Found this by a guy who is in Advertising and has his own blog and confirms everything we say. It is a good read and not long.

I've noticed something weird lately. My wife is dark, and I'm white. Anytime we're out, hispanic or black people passing by look at our son (white skin), my wife (brown skin), and then they get bug eyes looking at me (white like wonderbread).

We've both noticed it, and it seems like things have shifted in that direction as a result of politicians/media making race such a "highlighted issue."

You can thank obama for making race an issue again. What a cascade of destruction that man started.

It seems racist that they're only marketing to African Americans

Have to advertise to your viewership until they pay to remove commercials.

It's more than that, it's black women. I commonly see three, four, five commercials in a row where the featured person is a black female. It is so far out of whack it's comical.

That's because their male counterparts are "elsewhere." THIS is statistically true.

Pointed this out to my wife a while back and she didn't believe me, until she started paying attention and realized it was true. We started looking to see if any commercials included a white heterosexual couple. They were few and far between.

Also had to point out to her the predominant casting of male characters as the dopey, comedic relief, while the women tend to be the strong, smart, leader roles. It is extremely prevalent in modern sitcoms, and most kids/teen programming.

Multiple blue stars. I've trained myself to 1) mute or 2) ignore commercials. I'm not buying any of the crap they have to sell anyway.

8.4% of marriages in the US are interracial.

100% of the commercials in that last commercial break were interracial.

Isn't the goal of a marketing campaign (commercials) to appeal to your target audience? People relate to things that feature people that look like them. It's in our DNA. Commercials have <30 seconds of our time they are going to lean into our most basic of senses to capture our attention.

There have been some recent commercials showing the black man as stupid, but luckily for him he has a super smart black wife to set him straight. Its always ok to show a man as dumb in advertising because the marketing world is run by women, mostly white women.

That 8.4% bi-racial marriage number is probably true for Black-White marriages, but if you lump in Hispanic-White and Asian-White, it's probably much higher. For some reason, considering the size of the Hispanic population, they sure get left out of advertising unless its on a Spanish TV channel.

Does this matter to our lives? Not really other than it points out the ridiculous logic of those who market to us and that it sucks if you are a non-black actor.

In the series of commercials I just watched in the Bills/Eagles game, the couple was biracial. All four commercials.

I guess I should at least be thankful they were opposite sex couples.
it's fascinating that one would think advertisers try to target an entire population to increase sales as much as possible:

Blacks in the USA: 13.6% of total population

and vastly less average and median household incomes than the other 86% of the population.

Hmm wonder why TV ads show 60% black Americans

You are the new biracial. At first it was always the brothers and white chicks on commercials and it took awhile for a white dude and black girl to be on tv.

Then it was the gays getting their turn and even the mixed gays got in on the action.

When you see a black and Asian couple they will have run out of options, until they go Trans.

How about they use their massive demographic data and cater to that product's most probable buyer.

Vitiligo cream? Probably not a lot of you honkies, nor mi gente, buying that. Black actors would make sense, as a sole actor base.

Chuntaritos, or Los Spurs jerseys? That's all brown, all day. Brown actors would make sense.

Mayonnaise? That all you, crackers.

I stopped watching linear TV a good long while ago. I don't miss it and I certainly don't miss the advertisements.

At this point, you have to wonder what, exactly, advertisers are actually advertising. Is it their product or is it endless attempts at affiliating whatever crap they're peddling with a particular ideology. If your product has to be an "identity product" I assume from the get-go that it's crap.

People who argue it is marketing to certain groups just doesn't make percentage point sense.

It's being woke. It started before the term was even used.

I have no problem with interracial marriage. I don't really like the category of race. It's more about finding someone who meets your cultural morals.

Every nation, tribe, and tongue….

But I get sick of it being shoved down our throats.
It's like a fashion style that needs a break for about twenty years or so.

I keep the tv, that can be seen from the kitchen, on TUDN.

Shows soccer all day.

The commercials are interesting
Pale skinned blondes married to darker skin Hispanic men.

Black Hispanic women getting bling on their nails.

Lots of multi hued families at IHOP and Wendy's, putting Daisy sour cream on trays of enchiladas, and eczema relief cream for everyone!

As someone that is in an interracial marriage, it is very noticeable there's been a substantial increase in biracial relationships/marriages in tv advertising in recent years.

May make someone ultra sensitive to think…Am I a racist for not going after another ethnicity or for being with the same ethnicity ?

It may have helped with "interracial" marriage. But now it's out of style for what we need. Needs to be mixed up.

always the biracial couple
