How easy is it to plant child porn on someone?
Granted there are definitely some pedos out there but man piss off the wrong person and all of a sudden you got child pron on your computer.
Then you demand a polygraph and voice stress analyzer.
You stand your ground and declare your innocence on everything holy. That's what I would do.
You speak publicly about it and look straight in to the camera.
This is what innocent people should do. It's telling to me when they don't.
Except it is way more prudent to engage a lawyer who will tell you to absolutely NOT do any of the things you suggest.
I agree with what you are saying from an emotional standpoint, but it would be incredibly unwise from a legal standpoint.
No good answer if falsely accused, but that does not appear to apply in this case.
This is 100% correct.
Do NOT say ANYTHING to ANYBODY. Any good lawyer will tell you that. ANYTHING you say can be used to convict you - even if it's not for the original crime.
Posters have dropped that video on here numerous times from the law prof explaining why (I know he's saying to not talk to cops - but anything you say publicly they can use).
How'd you like to be completely innocent of THIS crime but still get convicted due to something you said that COULD be used as evidence?
BTW, I'll be the bad guy.
This guy is 100% innocent until proven guilty. There's no reason he should be fired until then. AGAIN, how would YOU like to lose your job just because you've been unjustly charged with a crime you had not committed?
NOW...if he's guilty, I hope they cut his pecker off, feed it to him covered in ghost pepper hot sauce, then slowly lower him into a vat of acid.
But, until he's found guilty, treat him as innocent.
fka is completely correct that there is no good answer right now for this guy - guilty or innocent.
FWIW, I think he probably IS guilty, but, I'll wait for the evidence to come in. Maybe it's because I'm not so trusting of the feds anymore, but mostly because I'm really serious about following the Constitution.
