It's amazing to me in today's world what will get you immediately fired/suspended/canceled and yet this guy just takes some vacation time.

Right, because they probably have no access to the evidence being used against this guy and there's no way they could fire him for cause.

idk, you're the law guy. But I'm sure A&M's HR and legal has talked to the FBI and is doing whatever is least problematic.

I mean I hope the guy gets life if guilty and certainly it looks that way. But this way he is forced to use up his vacation time instead of getting paid that amount if they just let him go right away. And he hasn't been tried yet, so I'm sure they're trying to be consistent with how they handle these things.

Holy ****…I'm shocked to see this. I went to middle and high school with this guy. Seemed totally normal. Good spirited, played sports, now seemed to have a happy wife and kids. What a weird world.

It's weird that in this country no one cares to apprehend child porn creators but the cops are all over those who are "possessors" as if that is the worse crime.

Wow. If true, this guy is hard-core.
He seems to be mentally sick that he finds small children sexually attractive. He is a menace to society. Lock him up.

It's pretty mind boggling to me that this isn't something that gets more attention from elected officials across party lines that everyone agrees should be completely eradicated with a scorched earth approach. There is no way anyone would complain about our tax dollars going towards this.

Makes you wonder why that is.

My thoughts exactly based off the way it's worded. "Received and possessed"

Couldn't that just be an email someone sent?

Of course if he's guilty then throw away the key.

Edit: it was pointed out that the guy interacted with the sender repeatedly. Lock the loser up.

Except it is way more prudent to engage a lawyer who will tell you to absolutely NOT do any of the things you suggest.

I agree with what you are saying from an emotional standpoint, but it would be incredibly unwise from a legal standpoint.

No good answer if falsely accused, but that does not appear to apply in this case.

I didn't want to be the first one here to post about it, mostly out of respect to his daughter and wife. I know the family. He always seemed normal.

I wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt, so I read the whole affidavit. If that stuff is true, he needs to do everything he can to prevent it from being aired out in court. Plead guilty, kill yourself, whatever. You don't want anyone to read out loud what he was doing to/around his daughter.

Really really disappointing.

I know this guy, both through work and personally. He and his wife came to my wedding. We would get together now and then, but I haven't seen him since early 2022. And EdP is right in the above post...he seemed perfectly normal.

This just makes me sick. His wife and her family are some of the best people I've ever met, and their daughter is adorable. She's heavily involved in dance, and it's horrifying that Clint was around all those dance kids.

He encouraged her, told her what he wanted. Sent selfies and she identified him as an Aggie from his ring, he told her stories about what he himself did.

Oh, yeah, he also admitted to all of it to the federal investigator.

He didn't get hacked.

Absolutely agreed. I don't know how people convicted of this stuff don't get disappeared before trial. The people who produced it should lose a limb or their life since they essentially have destroyed the lives of others.

This is pretty much the reason they arrest the users...to hopefully get to these guys. I am no fan of the FBI or any other federal agency, but just like in the drug or organized crime game, they start with the small fish in hopes they flip and lead them up the chain of command.
