The polizei have adopted Ric Flair's pain holds. The protesters should should be thankful that they have not yet resorted to the Von Erich Claw. VERY thankful.

To the German Police...

Can I get a Rick Flair "WWHOOOOO!" from ya'! or...

"I'm Rick Fliehr! The Stylin', profilin', limousine riding, jet flying, kiss-stealing, wheelin' n' dealin' son of a gun! Space Mountain may be the oldest ride in the park, but it has the longest line. All the women want to be with me, all the men want to be like me....."

As they drag the dregs off to the side..

PLEASE..

These are all tactics that my high school Ag teacher used to employ on us throughout the day.

It hurt like hell, and compliance was swift.

This has been around forever. Literally one of the first pain compliance techniques I ever learned as a rookie cop in the 80's.

If you ever been wrist locked by someone who knows how -
It really friggin' hurts and you can tear ligaments/tendons in a hurry. I'm positive these people are exaggerating but they do hurt way more than a back of arm pinch and certainly with more severe consequences if applied with force.

Right. That wrist lock is a common hold taught by Aikido and other martial arts instructors in police academies.

I usually feel the same way, but what's the point in purposefully causing pain/injury while they are restrained? If that's what you're going for, just go ahead and hit them a few times with your baton. Generally not a fan of police state actions like this.

To ensure they won't do it again.

You touch a hot stove once you're not likely to do it again.

Quit coddling these pieces of trash. They have no right to prevent people from their lives over a made up thing. Or anything.

Good grief. Get a grip.

It's always amusing to see these people think they are the victims.

Why not cuff them and just pick them up and move them?

To deter them from doing it again. Good Lord, some of you are ridiculous. They are not victims, they have put themselves in the situation, and they are being dealt with harshly. As they should.

Amen. Bad behavior proliferates when there is no penalty for it. The judicial system is going to do nothing or release them without even requiring bail. The wristlock is non judicial punishment but it let's those pvvssies know that they are putting skin in the game by blocking roads. It probably also reduces efforts to resist arrest for fear of increased pain which reduces the risk of injury to the polizei which is justification enough for me.

They're not restrained, they're being moved.

But I agree, no point in using small joint manipulation to cause pain, if you're just going to carry them. If the police were doing it right, the "protesters" would be walking themselves, to relieve the pain.

Do you think those morons are just gonna walk out of there? Every single one of them either goes limp or starts screaming hysterically. They're trying to make a big deal of it as they can. They don't comply. I have no problem with this.

A new controversy has broken out in Europe over the use of the so-called "pain grip" by German police. More specifically, it's a restraint technique being used to remove climate change protesters who are blocking roads and otherwise causing chaos in public.

A recent viral video showed police using the move on a man who was sitting in front of a bus, ignoring orders to get up. As he's carried onto the sidewalk, you can see his right hand being forced down to put pressure on his wrist. The man can be heard screaming as if he's feeling the worst pain ever visited on any human in history.
