I usually feel the same way, but what's the point in purposefully causing pain/injury while they are restrained? If that's what you're going for, just go ahead and hit them a few times with your baton. Generally not a fan of police state actions like this.

If it's allowed and SOP for the police there, then the protestors know what's coming. The same way the ones here on college campuses know they're going to get pepper-sprayed.

The cops aren't killing, or even maiming them, but hopefully, those kids, who are getting off light by other countries' standards, will not break the law the next time they protest.

There are plenty of protests that happen every day where not one law is broken and nothing happens to either the police or the protestors, and that's why I have no sympathy for those who break the law then cry about it after they get punished for it.

You can just pinch the back of the arm and that hurts worse but if they have a big coat on, the wrist down flip hurts reliably, but not like the screaming they are doing.

Maybe these protesters need to self-inject some Judas Priest's "Painkiller"...

Load speakers and Volksmusik played at full volume. That will run off most people.

Yeah, I remember being taught that in the police academy 20 years ago. It ensures compliance; if the officer releases the hold, the little *****es would likely become non-compliant, so it's an easy thing just to keep it up until the situation is under control.

If you ever been wrist locked by someone who knows how -
It really friggin' hurts and you can tear ligaments/tendons in a hurry. I'm positive these people are exaggerating but they do hurt way more than a back of arm pinch and certainly with more severe consequences if applied with force.

They're not restrained, they're being moved.

But I agree, no point in using small joint manipulation to cause pain, if you're just going to carry them. If the police were doing it right, the "protesters" would be walking themselves, to relieve the pain.

When I was stationed in West Germany in the late seventies, everyone knew not to mess with the Polizei.
