Trump is arguing for immunity for official acts of the president WHILE IN OFFICE. What Trump is defending are his actions as President that are solely his power as the executive. In the case of the documents Trump had complete power to declassify without needing to fill out any forms AND the right to keep documents under the PRA.
FJB's is trying to avoid prosecution for his illegal actions while he was SENATOR and VP. Being President today does not make illegal actions before you became President legal. The Biden DOJ and administration cannot throw everything and the kitchen sink at Trump, while at the same time completely dismiss Biden. But they are, and they are not even trying to hide the hypocrisy and double standard.
We have a broken justice system.
