Interesting. I thought it was fentanyl. Whatever it was, it was NOT Derek Chauvin.
Agree. "adrenaline-caused catecholamine crisis leading to bi-lateral heart failure" is a weird way to describe a fentanyl overdose.

Those in the article said it was not caused by the fentanyl.
I read it. They make the case that it was suggestive of an exceedingly rare catecholamine secreting tumor (paraganglioma) that could possibly have caused a malignant blood pressure rise and heart failure. They didn't mention that he had a lethal dose of fentanyl and a significant amount of meth on board. IF he died of hypertension induced heart failure then the meth itself could have been the cause.

Fentanyl and/or meth intoxication vs a rare tumor. Occam's Razor points to the former, but either way it was not due to Officer Chauvin's actions.

Any time Dr. Michael Baden is involved, be wary.

"From the evidence available to them, which did not include a toxicology report or unspecified bodily samples, Baden and Wilson announced on June 1 that Floyd's death was caused by asphyxia due to neck and back compression and that Floyd had no underlying medical problem that contributed to his death. Their results conflicted with the autopsy performed by Andrew Baker, a pathologist and the chief medical examiner for Hennepin County since 2004, which found that the cause of death was "cardiopulmonary arrest complicating law enforcement subdual, restraint, and neck compression.'"

Cardiopulmonary arrest is how a fentanyl overdose actually kills you

Unfortunately there were no persons of character involved in this travesty and Chauvin rots in jail as a result, but a good read nonetheless.

In a perfect world Chauvin would have been found guilty of aggravated assault at best. But some groups need an excuse to loot and burn, so there we are.

If you haven't watched it yet, "The Fall of Minneapolis" on YouTube is an excellent documentary on the Floyd event. It's simply unbelievable that Chauvin is in prison, he did everything by the book.

Floyd may or may not be dead today had he not tried to commit a federal and state crime by using fake money to buy cigarettes.

Floyd wouldn't be dead today had he not tried to swallow the 9 pills laced with Fentanyl to keep the cops from finding them, PERIOD end of story.

He was following the Minneapolis Police Department Manual.

I would love to see the wording of a police manual that says placing a knee on the back of someone's neck for an extended amount of time is okie-dokie.

I'm not going to defend Chauvin but if you think what he did was murder you're poorly informed on this case. At best it's a case of two things being true at the same time. What he did was in the manual, that's not debatable. Did he hold it for too long, I'm willing to believe that.

What's also not debatable is that Floyd couldn't breathe while he was standing next to the squad car before he was placed on the ground. Likewise it's not debatable that 911 dispatched an ambulance from the wrong fire house and it took far longer than it should have to arrive. You also can't debate that it was Chauvin that instructed another officer to call dispatch with a more urgent plea for medical assistance.

Lastly you can't debate that Floyd was in the process of committing multiple felonies which is what created the incident in the first place. Trying to pass counterfeit money and possession of a significant amount of illicit drugs that he took to avoid detection. He was a career drug addict who, had he not died that day, would have been admitted to ICU for the third time in 10 months to fight a fentanyl overdose. The original ME said absent any knowing police involvement he would have written this up as an overdose and moved on.

If we're looking to distribute blame I'd go 90% Floyd, 8% 911/EMS and 2% Chauvin. He wasn't murdered.

Thank the lord for that. Nothing like being the force for oppression and tyranny.

Look at this website alone. You had a majority of college educated posters here, who could read the reports just like we did, completely ignore the facts in order to virtue signal. All for a lowlife thug who had recently pointed a loaded pistol at a pregnant woman's belly. Shame on all of you who couldn't find the nerve within yourselves to stand up for truth and instead repeated the lie because it was easy. Not only that, you used the lie to paint fellow Ags, the ones standing on facts, as racist. F'ing disgusting.

Watch the Fall of Minneapolis. They show the manual that illustrates the technique used by Chauvin. Plus, the must have asked Floyd 15 times politely to get in the cop car and Floyd kept refusing… then, Floyd got physical with the cops, leading to them pinning Floyd on the ground.

It was what the training manual told him to do. The one they changed after the fact and did not allow the original to be presented at trial. The chief of police also lied about it on the stand.

It was exactly like the training manual. The knee was not on his throat it was on his neck. These terms are not interchangeable. George said "I'm choking" right before he got in the back seat. When I saw that in the documentary movie I thought "wait did he really say that before getting in the car. A few minutes later the film focuses on that "slip." Also George tells the cops he was chocked the last time he was arrested. Records show there was no video showing this nor did George claim that at the time. George was on multiple drugs when arrested. Most of us would be dead with those drug levels. Hey, the city didn't want looting of retail stores err I mean peaceful protests.

Same for the Rittenhouse case. There are still people to this day that he killed 3 black people in Kenosha.

Likewise, I would love for you to take a job as a cop in Minneapolis that pays an average of just over $50.5k per year having to deal daily with the absolute dregs of society.

That includes a 200 lb+. muscled up drug addict, and multiple time convicted violent felon, who was high as F and resisting arrest.

God I would love that.

I would love for you to have to make spur of the moments decisions that would 100% directly decide whether you lived or died that day. For about $50k a year and maybe some overtime.

But that would never happen would it?

Chauvin is a political prisoner due to the cowardice of the majority. Everyone feared to have the activist mob turn upon them. We all know it. We all felt the intimidation to follow the narrative at the time.
