Kevin McCarthy: Republicans would benefit 'tremendously' if Matt Gaetz wasn't in Congress

LOL
Quote:

While speaking to CNN's Manu Raju, McCarthy said his caucus would benefit "tremendously" if Matt Gaetz was removed from the House, though he didn't specify whether that should happen via expulsion or election.

"People have to earn the right to be here," McCarthy said, adding that he doesn't think the House Republican Conference "would ever heal if there's no consequences" for removing him from his position and triggering a weeks-long paralysis of the House.
Well, when you lied about what you would do as speaker, you EARNED your firing.

He (McCarthy) knew what he was getting into when he took the gig. He's just sounding like a whiny little *itch at this point.

Id frame it as 8 Conservatives leveraging 208 useful idiots to initiate a process that produced a better speaker. But feel free to whimper about the firing of a uniparty stooge.

I have no love for the uniparty stooge. Just pointing out that he was removed with overwhelming democrat support. Not overwhelming republican support. And the dems will be just as happy to help a few RINOs remove Johnson through not fault of Johnson's.

This is a dumb rule. While it may have worked out in our favor with McCarthy, it can EASILY be turned against us.

An interesting point. If he was such an ineffective d-bag and friend of the democrats, one would think they'd want him to remain. The democrats voted for Republican chaos, and nothing more.

1. No democrat will vote in favor of a republican speaker. Doesn't matter who it is.

2. As B-1 83 said, to cause chaos in the republican party.

3. The slim chance that they could pull some of the worthless moderates over from the republicans to vote for Jeffries.

We lose because the Dems have lots of female voters that want to kill babies on demand and lots of potheads that want to make it legal. Add in Vote Creation methods and counting and that's just too much for the GOP to overcome. If you want to say the GOPe is scared and just trying to stay on the grift, I wholeheartedly agree.

Thats what their base wants, though. Case in point. We're headed towards another fiscal cliff and they're busy trying to pointlessly reduce cabinet salaries to $1 to own the libs.

No. There are reasons those two terms exist.
