Harvard is overrated in so many ways. Mostly in the practical application of knowledge by their graduates.

The benefit of Harvard isn't really the education, it's the connections. The Harvard network is unreal.

That said, that's what makes this so hilarious: congratulations on doing something that gets you ostracized from the most important benefit of going there.

All these knuckleheads had to do was shut up and party for 4 years, walk across a stage, and land 6 figure salaries the next day (or before). All on mommy and daddy's dime.

Yeah, if I was a hiring manager now, I would vet the hell out of any Harvard applicants and make sure they weren't a part of this letter. HBS about to find out the hard way, they may find their soon to be alum on an unofficial blacklist

If I was a hiring manager, I would trash any resume from a so-called "top" university.

Would FERPA even allow Harvard to release the names?

Yes. Has nothing to do with grades.

Wrong. FERPA protects all education records, which includes membership in clubs. An education record is anything the institution maintains. So it covers everything, not just grades.

The only way they could release the names is if Harvard includes membership in student organizations in its published list of directory information. But a student can choose to have their directory information withheld.

Harvard still publishes a yearly student yearbook. Their names will be listed in the organizations they belong to.

It's also funny to me how so many of them love to parade around protesting in masks and hide behind anonymous groups, but when they are exposed as individuals they freak out and suddenly don't support the cause anymore.

Release their names so we can avoid hiring idiots who are either extremists or can't understand what they put their name to. Even the a$$wipe-in-chief knows hamas are the bad guys.
This one is easy...

Harvard, Cal-Berkley or Stanford on resume - File 13 it immediately
Pronouns listed on resume - File 13 it immediately

There are some older Rice guys that won't hire Rice grads anymore.
Wife's uncle who went to Rice said he would hire someone from UH or Harris Co Community College before he would hire any moron from Rice.
understand it, but the Rice B-School is top notch and has a lot of great students. Maybe he's just talking about undergrad.

I would hire Rice undergrad if I needed someone who could speak English and Mandarin. Walking across campus this day it's like you've dropped down into China.

One of the leaders of the palestinian solidarity group is the son of a British billionaire perfumer. He's never wanted for anything in his life and is the epitome of privileged. His billionaire mother won't comment on him beyond, "We as family don't confront violence." **** these people. Unless they cut off their POS son, they sure as hell do.

So political affiliation is not a protected class for discrimination in private sector hiring but religious belief is.

So can these students cry foul that they're being discriminated because they're muslim?

Isn't the letter and endorsement public record? Or did they merely sign some super secret letter that no one was allowed to see?

It was signed by student organizations, not individuals. Those organizations are the ones back tracking and individuals for others orgs are leaving so they are not considered part of this.

NEW: Harvard students are freaking out after a truck is driving around the school, displaying names of students who allegedly signed a letter blaming Israel for Hamas' terror attacks.

Say it with me: Hamas Harvard.

The digital screen on the truck says "Harvard's Leading Antisemites" and named the 34 students who claimed Israel was "entirely responsible" for the Hamas attacks.

The truck was launched by Accuracy in Media who said it's "incredibly important to know who the hateful antisemites are in our society. And it's important for people to know that their actions have consequences."

JUST IN: Perfume giant Jo Malone's son was reportedly behind the letter at Harvard that blamed Israel for the Hamas terror attacks.

Her son, Josh Willcox, is one of the leaders of the Undergraduate Palestine Solidarity Committee.

Malone spoke out about the war in the Middle East but failed to condemn her son, as reported by the Daily Mail.

"We as a family are heartbroken by the events of recent days and strongly condemn all forms of violence."

"The abhorrent attack on innocent people on Saturday in Israel is beyond what any family should endure."

These students are now learning what it means to be held accountable for their own actions as a pro-Israel group is driving a truck around Harvard's campus, displaying the names of those who signed the letter.

FWIW, it is possible to both advocate for better treatment of the Palestinian people and condemn the terrorists attacks. Obviously the Palestinians in Gaza could help themselves by not selecting Hamas as their de facto government.

To a certain degree it is kind of like bagging on rural Germans for allowing the Nazi party to take control and commit mass genocide. Once an evil regime manages to solidify power and oppressively destroys competition it is impossible for joe the plumber or Assad the accountant to overthrow their power.

Always important to remember that it is an extreme group in control and that group is probably a small percentage of the Palestinian people. They have conditioned and instilled fear on the majority of the population that isn't as extreme. Just a truly awful situation. That said Israel has a right to overthrow that regime and should look to reestablish a peaceful solution with a more conservative, less radical contingent of Palestinians when it gets to that point. Keep in mind failure to properly rebuild Palestine will in my opinion, result in more problems for Israel then proper reconciliation. Just like what happened post Civil War. If Secretary Stanton hadn't destroyed any reasonable attempts at reconciliation we likely don't have the rise of the Ku Klux Klan which is similar to Hamas.
