Wonder what would constitute "advance" warning. I'm sure that Isreal would like to trust these unnamed Arab states, but just a handful of closet jihadist types would be all it would take to tip the iranians off. What mechanism could be in place to provide warning but not tip their hand?

I would suspect Mossad has them all thoroughly infiltrated and knows who in which military chain it can trust.

I think at this time, there are a number of ME countries that are tired of all the BS and want to actually modernize and stabilize their countries.

This takes normalizing relations with Israel (which several have done) and then supporting them undercover.

I don't doubt SA and the UAE are fully on board helping Israel. PLUS, they're Sunni.

There are a number of them that have recognized for at least a decade or more that Iran is a much bigger issue for them than Israel. They have used the Israelis as the boogeyman for years to keep their domestic politics quiet, so it will take some time before they can debrainwash their populations about the Israelis. But their senior military leaders are more than willing to work with the Israelis quietly to facilitate anything that weakens Iran or its proxies.

I think the Sunni countries need to change it from Muslims against Jews to Sunnis against Shi'ites. Get their people to at least start thinking that way.

Focus on Iran and partly Iraq, vs Israel.

Then, they've got a fantastic ally in Israel to to help them out.

Pull a 1984 on the lower educated populations of their countries.

We've ALWAYS been at war with Iran. Why are you talking about Israel?

Like your way of thinking, but they have a holy book that prescribes the tenets of their religion and working with the Jews is NOT compatible with said beliefs. Not even a little bit, unfortunately.

This is one way to solve a problem. Hezbollah hides millions in gold under a hospital. Israel does not want to blow up the hospital so they simply tell the Lebanese where it is and how to get it. It will be interesting to see if they take up the challenge.

Today's Ziehan email:

"Given the recent conflict in the Middle East, I'm worried that an oil crisis could be brewing. The main players that might kick off the (next) Gulf War are Iran, Israel and Saudi Arabia.

Israel was recently attacked by Iran and their retaliation could be devastating for Iran. Should they choose to target critical Iranian oil infrastructure - most of which is conveniently located near Kharg Island - Iran's exports would plummet. Should that happen, an Iranian attack on Saudi oil fields wouldn't be out of the question, and then we could be talking about 20 million barrels per day being under threat.

That means a global oil price of $300 per barrel is in the cards...but not for everyone. The US has the domestic supply to maintain a price closer to $60 per barrel (outside of California, because they still rely heavily on Persian Gulf imports). China would get the snot knocked out of 'em if it does play out like this. The UAE and Saudi Arabia would keep some exports alive thanks to pipelines that bypass the Strait.

Before you go buy a few drums of oil to throw in the basement, let's wait for Israel to decide what their retaliation plan looks like."

This is why everyone is asking Isreal to limit their retaliation and to avoid the O&G infrastructure. A wounded Iran lashing out against their enemy, SA, is within their reasoning as it would make SA much much richer as supply is suddenly limited.

Oil importers would have instant epic heartburn. The US could restrict exports to keep the domestic market stable but would be under intense pressure from allies to keep exports flowing. Economic collapse is a real possibility alo g with food shortages. Even the EV bozos who would gloat would be under the same scarcity for truck deliver supplies.

We could limit exports, but we're still going to need imported oil. I believe our refineries do not handle the light shale oil well, and will have to blend with the heavire crude of the Middle East or Canada.

It's ironic that in the last two pages everyone is talking about how it would be the Arab partners who would disclose Israeli attack plans to Iran...

when in fact it is the US Department of Defense consistently leaking Israeli plans and spreading stories about how the IDF will fail

The money angle is great, but how unnerving must it be to see Israel made a blueprint of your hideout?

Quote:

The most glaring example of its questionable handling of the Iran portfolio is Biden Iran envoy Robert Malley's continued employment by the State Department amid a probe into his handling of classified materials and the possibility that he shared information with the regime. Though Malley has since been suspended, it's noteworthy that the administration has opted to technically keep him in the role, no doubt wishing to avoid the political fallout that would come with terminating him.

Possibly worse than Malley's appointment is that of Ariane Tabatabai, an academic turned State Department and Pentagon official. She was part of the now-infamous Iran Experts Initiative a program used by Tehran's Ministry of Foreign Affairs to cultivate relationships with foreign academics who could carry water for the regime.

At one point, according to reporting from Semafor, which revealed the program's existence, Tabatabai opted to skip a conference in Israel after an Iranian official instructed her not to go. She also consulted with this same Iranian official regarding how she should testify in hearings before Congress. Her job today chief of staff to the Pentagon official who oversees special operations.

Israel kills Hezbollah's 'new leader' in blitz on 'secret bunker' in another huge blow for Iran-backed terror group | Daily Mail Online

Quote:

Israel has killed Hezbollah's 'next leader' in a fatal blitz on a hidden bunker in the latest blow for the Iran-backed terror group.

Hashem Safieddine was killed in an Israeli airstrike in southern Beirut in early October, the Israeli military said today.

Safieddine was a powerful cleric within the Hezbollah ranks and was expected to succeed Hassan Nasrallah

That's actually new confirmation. They just now either discovered his body or got around to announcing the discovery of his body along with a whole bunch of other high-level Hez officials. Looks like Israel also got the head of the Hezbollah intelligence agency in the same strike. This was not the same one that killed Nasrallah.but the one that happened a few days later.

They're not just killing Hamas leaders. They're killing people who've applied for the job.

Thank you. The article stated the strike was early October, but it was breaking news yesterday so I wasn't sure if I was posting old news as breaking news.

Given the recent demonstrations of their capabilities, this comes across as beyond ominous if you're associated with the iranian government and/or military. I just hope & pray that it takes their nuclear options off the table for good.

Agree. Probably a fool's game to predict, but I would not doubt a cyber attack as Israel's retaliatory method, maybe industrially targeted like Stuxnet, maybe financially targeted, maybe military/C&C targeted….or maybe All of the Above.
