the interesting point is that Hizbullah and Iran have been to weak/cowardly to do anything after Israel took out their leaders two weeks ago!

The Iranians may not conduct an overt response, but you could safely bet their covert action teams around the world are planning terrorist attacks against Israeli targets. They will try to extract revenge, just may keep the shadowy proxy war status quo instead of going hot.

Hez fighting capabilities and capacity are orders of magnitude better than Hamas. The Israelis are legitimately concerned (not worried) about a full-scale war with Hez that is not undertaken on their own schedule and terms.

I agree. Deploy CS gas in the tunnels or other flammable/irritants at hand. Make life irritating and uncomfortable enough so they eventually face that choice: stay and suffer or leave.

Been there in northern Israel. It most certainly is not. That's why there are drones with sensors, KH series satellites and SIGINT. We have CIA, NSA and NRO assets. Which we share with Israel.

Haven't read this entire thread, but has there been any news on US operations to recover the American hostages? I don't believe we should be involved in the war between Israel and Hamas, but I am a firm believer in sending CAG in if anyone kidnaps an American, anywhere in the world. We should have a zero tolerance stance for this and precedent should be that we immediately send door kickers to kill those who do it, and rescue the hostages.

I remember reading we had Operators in country, and had assumed that's why they were there. Haven't heard anything since.
