Thanks, I was surprised when someone brought that up to me tonight. I said "I don't believe that's accurate," but that's the only thing that shows up on "news" websites.

I haven't even seen what Israel has reported
For them its a matter of defining civilian...were they holding a rifle and wearing a uniform when counted, no. Their camrade had already assumed the use of their rifle. So theyre a civilian now

it's more than that.

Not only is the "Gaza Health Ministry" just a bunch of Hamas workers who have an incentive to lie.

in reality, IT IS A WAR ZONE

where the IDF spent weeks telling everyone to evacuate.

how on earth would the "Gaza Healthy Ministry" know how many bodies are buried in a building when there are no civilians anywhere within Gaza City for the last 6 weeks?

have you seen 18,000 corpses laid out? has anyone seen this?

why is it that Israel has to prove a tunnel is under a hospital- but the "Gaza Health Ministry" is quoted in every newspaper around the world?

why is it 18,000 dead? why not 26,000 dead? why not 260,000 dead? because no one has seen any of these dead.

Whatever the number is, it's way too low today and will be way too low on the last day of the IDF operation, for Israel and the world to be truly better off.

Seems like terrorists are like all other bullies. Lots of bluster and they'll do anything they think they can get away with, but they'll run and hide and call foul the second someone turns around and isn't afraid to beat their ***.

Killing Hamas leaders under their security control in Lebanon has a way of making them reassess things.

UNRWA needs to be discussed as to whether it will be supported, by who, and how/what changes would be required, moving forward.

Good to see some pressure building for that in the US as well. All of the people/organizations that supported/facilitated Hamas through O7 need to be…well things need to happen.

One of the challenges the forces face in the Gaza Strip is a branched system of tunnels. The tunnels and shafts are used for several purposes, including logistics (food, water, medicine, etc.), ventilation, electricity, and the entry and exit of activists and senior officials from area to area during battle. The deeper they went, the greater the passage of the activists in the tunnels.

Another important challenge that must be faced, which allows Sinwar to partially control the Gaza Strip, is a command and control system, which provides him with a situational picture of what is happening on the ground.

According to estimates in the security establishment, Hamas surrounds the tunnel system in Khan Yunis - where the top brass of Hamas is hiding - in various circles of observers and messengers.
Who are Sinwar's observers?

These observers can be women, boys, and men of all ages who report on the location and extent of the IDF forces, and any unusual activity in the area, which can be useful to Hamas's plans. According to army officers, "Some of the observers will stand on the roofs of houses or under the cover of buildings without weapons, only with a walkie-talkie or a telephone, and some of them will probably communicate what is happening with shouts or other signs. Some women will also cross the street with a baby carriage or children in order not to arouse suspicion."
Challenges.

At this stage, with the pace that the IDF is getting through the massive tunnel network in Khan Younis, where most or all of the Hamas leadership have said to be located, the Post understands that it could take months to find the exact locations.

All of this slow progress on the Hamas leadership and hostages issue comes even as the IDF on Saturday night said it now has full operational control of northern Gaza, with most of the fighting in that area having concluded already by December 19 with the fall of Jabalia.

The months dragging out on the hostages issue also occurs despite the fact that five reservist brigades have been released, half a dozen Israeli villages in the South have started to return to their residences, and the IDF probe of October 7 is rolling out all signaling that the Gaza War is already in "Stage 3" of lower intensity conflict.

Given that the IDF is entering Stage 3, it then becomes unclear whether regaining the hostages is a few months away or closer, or whether it could drag out longer into some sort of siege and "staring contest" in which the IDF is afraid to attack for fear of killing the hostages, while the Hamas leadership refuse to surrender.

The IDF hopes and estimates that at some point in this range of time periods that the threat of an attack will convince Hamas's leadership to release all of the hostages.
Sinwar needs to just lose his respiratory abilities, immediately. Even for a Jimmy Carter pal, he's vile scum.

IDF closing in on Sinwar:

What a slimy, cowardly human being Sinwar is. But that's why the Hamas leaders are still holding onto some of the hostages -- as a last-ditch shield to protect themselves; that's why they kidnapped them. And that means Israel is going to have to figure out a way to get around that or maybe take a targeted rescue.

But they can only do that, probably, after they've secured all the area around him to maximize their chances of getting the hostages out.

Sinwar owes his life to Israel, but that hasn't turned him away from being a terrorist. The only reason that Sinwar is probably alive is that when he was in prison for murdering Israelis in the past, he was given life-saving brain surgery. He was let out of prison in a prisoner exchange for Gilad Shalit in 2011. Then he repaid Israel for saving his life with the Oct. 7 attack.
But once they take him out, then the dominoes may fall very quickly on Hamas.

The documents were written by Hamas' military branch Al-Qassam Brigades in July, Israeli President Isaac Herzog said Sunday to NBC's "Meet the Press," and outlined the true goals of the group's summer camps.
Goals mentioned included "promoting the resistance and Jihadi culture," nurturing "spiritual, mental and physical preparation of children to serve the resistance in the future," and efforts "to contribute to the militarization of society through training," according to the Jerusalem Post.

Israel's brutal campaign against Hamas has also left the Palestinian citizenry reeling, with more than 20,000 Palestinians reportedly killed by rocket strikes and ground operations as of the new year.

Among the recent dead was the son of Al Jazeera's Gaza bureau chief, Wael Al-Dahdouh. Twenty-seven-year-old Hamza Wael Al-Dahdouh, a photojournalist with the outlet, was slain alongside a colleague in a rocket strike on the southern city of Khan Younis on Sunday.

one of the options may be to continue to capture enough of the families of the Hamas leaders and then it's basically "you release ours and we will release yours"

nothing else is probably going to be worth it to the Hamas terrorists.

and even their families they probably don't really care about

as much as their own worthless lives and money in Qatar.

that's ridiculous

they were able to capture the much more dense and urban area of Gaza City in 2 months with Hamas at it's strongest.

now with Hamas at it's weakest, it's going to take 12 months to capture Khan Yunis?!? (when IDF forces are already surrounding it and have much of the center zone under control)

that is a BS report.

The IDF has basically figured out where Sinwar is. I don't buy that it will take them 9 months, or even 3 months to get there. They need to blast their way in because they also will wind up under a lot of pressure as our election season ramps up here.

BEIRUT (Reuters) -An Israeli strike killed a commander of Hezbollah's elite Radwan force in south Lebanon on Monday, security sources familiar with the group's operations in Lebanon told Reuters, in one of the most high profile attacks on its senior officers in three months of hostilities with Israel.

More than 130 Hezbollah fighters including members of the Radwan force have been killed in hostilities across the Israeli-Lebanese border since Hamas attacked Israel from Gaza on Oct. 7, igniting a conflict that has rippled around the region.

Wissam al-Tawil, the deputy head of a Radwan unit, and another Hezbollah fighter were killed when the car they were in was struck in the village of Majdal Selm, some 6 km (3.7 miles)from the border, three security sources in Lebanon said.

There was no immediate comment from Israel.

Tawil was one of the most senior Hezbollah commanders killed in the hostilities so far, according to another source in Lebanon familiar with the matter.

I really can't understand why Hamas is releasing this video, or if in fact it is the IDF captured this video.

because all it does is make every Israeli and Jewish man insane with rage

to want to kill every single member of Hamas. I don't see the strategy here at all.

Amazing. You can see in Hebrew there is an arrow with "Beit Knesset" written out for synagogue.

and then inside, the times for "Minchah" and "Maariv" prayers.

only :04 but IDF intelligence is spending hours and hours and hours gleaming anything and everything they can from this footage.

Interesting that two of them have recent head and face injuries and two do not. Were these two defiant (not likely this far into captivity and still alive) or more likely they were being held separately, by different guarding scum and recently brought together here. Karina likely raped most recently while Lili a ghost of herself.

Karina, Daniela, Lili, & Agam I have lifted you up in prayer that you be freed....able to find some semblance of peace, while also praying for Gods vengeance be complete against your captors and all those who support them seen or unseen.

Given the gruesome atrocities of Oct 7th, coupled with their celebration in the times that followed 1Sam15:3 is understandable now.
