The Israeli offensive in the southern part of #Gaza appears to have effectively started, yesterday.

Israeli tanks were seen along Salah al-Din Road, north of al-Qarara. A smaller Palestinian faction had also reported clashes with Israeli troops in northeastern al-Qarara.

Quote:
The Israel Defense Forces earlier stated 200 Hamas targets were hit overnight
Overnight, IDF ground and air forces destroyed terrorist infrastructure inside a school in Beit Hanoun where an attack was launched against Israeli soldiers. In the school, forces found 2 tunnel shafts and weapons. Forces also eliminated a terrorist squad and attacked a weapons warehouse where they emerged from. IDF naval forces also attacked terrorist infrastructure in Gaza harbor, including an observation post.
Quote:
The Negev Brigade reportedly destroyed terrorist infrastructure set up within a Beit Hanun-based school where Hamas terrorists launched attacks against IDF soldiers. Within that same school complex, two additional tunnels of the terror organization's extensive network tunnels.
I suspect they have mapped out some of them and are closing most of the entrances so they can pump seawater into the ones that remain.AlaskanAg99 said:
Still takes effort, and those tunnel entrances can be marked and observed for activity. It also denies they access points for attacks. Sure it's whack-a-mole, but overall it's about mapping their tunnel system out, denying access/attack points and drones will be able to track activity on known points.
Those are some pretty severe explosions that will impact the structural integrity of the tunnel itself. Granted, they don't give a crap about human life and their tunnel rats they will get back down there to start clearing, but that is a pretty serious rebuild that will be required and now they have to do it in the open instead of inside buildings or structures. Easier to monitor.AlaskanAg99 said:

Nova Festival survivor describes Hamas’ horrific violence against woman:
— Oli London (@OliLondonTV) December 4, 2023
“I saw this beautiful woman with the face of an angel and eight or ten of the fighters beating and raping her.
When they finished they were laughing and the last one shot her in the head.”

Meanwhile, per the IDF:Quote:
IDF Arabic Spokesperson Avichay Adraee warned on X (formerly Twitter) the commanders of Hamas's Shujaiya Battalion ahead of the IDF's resumed military operations in Gaza, and presented them with two options: surrender, or end up like former battalion commander Wessam Farhat, who was killed yesterday in an Israeli airstrike.
"This is a final announcement, you are all targets. The IDF will act in the area to dismantle Hamas," Adraee wrote.
In addition, he noted that the commanders had two options: "surrender and lay down the weapons," or "deal with a fate similar to that of Wessam Farhat."

yes, way cheaper. the jet fuel alone....and do they even make a bomb for under 250k that would take that down?LMCane said:
not sure why the IDF prefers to blow up their Hamas building with internal explosives rather than just dropping some bombs, maybe it's cheaper to use C4?Hamas hall of justice.

I wonder if a lot of Palestinians regret attacking Israel and celebrating in the streets, not talking about the "brave" leaders barking bs from other countries but the everyday citizens.LMCane said:
