I guess Netanyahu has his political pressures to deal with. Frankly, if they get all their citizens back, then just go scorched earth on the remainder of Gaza. It's pretty evident their fellow Muslims of the area don't care about them.

No ceasefire with Hamas involving a 'prisoner exchange' is win-win, imho. It incentivizes more hostage taking by Hamas etc., and also emboldens the crowd of low-information morons like we've heard about blaming the IDF for deaths in Gaza of 'innocents.'







I agree with this comparative 'what if?'



But it really is simple if the people of Gaza learn a lesson;



Arab countries need to end their hateful policies;







Complex operation, I guess. I hope some of the poor hostages are safely returned home indeed, regardless.

Have any of the 50 been released? What if it's only 30 and they are dragging their heels on the rest? What if those released tell what are sure to be horrific tales of the way they were treated? Does IDF know where they have been keeping them? I believe it when I see it because when has Hamas ever been truthful or trusted to do what they said they were going to do.

Hamas is already making excuses - they can't locate some hostages. others were killed in IDF airstrikes, blah, blah, blah. Sad to say, but I hope this falls apart quickly and the IDF gets back to killing Hamas and IJ.

This is like negotiating with a 3 year old over cookies and he's holding the jar. I get the internal pressure, but you are not dealing with humans. It's absurd that there is negotiation for HOSTAGES in exchange for PRISONERS. I'd say even PeePaw is not that stupid but sadly he is.

supposedly 1000 Tel Aviv time tomorrow morning which is 0300 EST here

10 per day to be released, and each day added to ceasefire is another 10 hostages freed.

While I appreciate the sentiment of all the Zionists and pro-Israel supporters on here, you have to remember a few things:

this isn't the USA with 330 million people most of whom share nothing in common with anyone else.

this is a tiny country of 7 million Jews and 2 million Arabs/non-Jews.

Every family in Israel knows SOMEONE who has been killed, raped, taken hostage.

and I mean EVERYONE knows someone that has happened to.

so you want them to willingly sacrifice their children or their mother or their aunt or their cousin -

so that the IDF can keep killing Hamas terrorists 5 days earlier than they will anyway?

There is a reason Israel leads the OECD nations in births per family- because for the Jews each child is doubly precious after the Holocaust.

to try to play politics with this is never going to happen, the IDF and the people will never support a government which does not do everything possible to get back every living and dead Israeli.

Then be prepared for the status quo to remain.

It is very naive to think pressure will not be ramped up to 11 for this pause to be extended, and that pressure will come from western nations who are allegedly Israeli allies.

On the other hand, I don't think Israel would agree or offer any cease fire for any amount of time unless they know the ground they've taken is mostly secure and they have a viable way to continually track Hamas' movements throughout the pause.

Biden is a total dumbass always has been. If those Isrealis had had M-16 in their homes, Hamas would have 5X the loses and would not have been able to move near as fast as they did, thus further reducing the casualties. Its likely If Israeli citizens were armed Hamas wouldn't have tried this stunt in the first place.

The coverage and analyses of this war must include, to astute observers, a consideration of where Qatari/Iranian etc. money goes to influence media and NGO's etc:

The no drone thing is absolutely insane. I sincerely hope the usa, Israel and whomever else says "drone" to mean a very specific thing but has plans to know exactly where the hostages are released from and to know the exact movements of hamas during this pause
