I'm still quite confident that Hamas won't be "completely annihilated" by the end of this. Definitely seriously weakened and reduced as a real threat for hopefully a long time, but not permanently gone. Hell, they've got leaders living happily in London among other places. And in the meantime, one or more of the other 500 Islamist militant groups will just take their place. It's going to be endless whack-a-mole in the future as it's always been.

And why is Interpol or the CIA not taking those known terrorists into custody???
Same team.

The bigger question is when will Israel take them out. That goes for the leaders in Qatar too.
Yes, Israel doesn't need the CIA/Interpol getting in the way..... They are masters of making international targets become dead, and playing the long game to do it if they have to....

I'm pretty sure they will. Israel has no problem with assassinating people, wherever they are. They will kill everyone they can get their hands on even if it takes them a long time.

Another organization will probably try to take their place, but I think Israel, and the world, have, hopefully, learned their lesson: Nip this **** in the bud. Kill the leadership trying to start it early, and do not let the cancer grow and metastasize. That was much harder to do in the 80's and 90's, but it's getting harder to hide in the world. It may be whack-a-mole, but they will be much smaller moles.

Something like 80+% of the 2.5 million population of Gaza approved of the attacks so I don't think it's quite that simple.

One generation to the next and this Hamas attack was a massive hate boost on both sides, world wide.

Probably had a more favorable view of iran before they backed off and told hamas "you're on your own".

Difference between supporting it and repeating it. That 80% may hate Israel, but they are finding out what happens when you **** around, and I think it's something they're going to be hesitant to want to repeat. Israel will keep watching them and continue to remind them whenever someone thinks things have changed.

Anyone got a Speak The Truth membership? Apparently they're going to have the son of one of the Hamas leaders on a members-only livestream, Monday at 8PM Central.

not the son of one of the Hamas leaders- the son of the OG Hamas leader:

son of co-founder of Hamas in the 80s Hassan Yousef

The Israeli's actually consider the Lebanese people their closest 'nearby' allies. The government is a mess due to Hezbollah/Iran no doubt but I don't think that is their intent. Hezbollah also doesn't get along theologically with Islamic Jihad (Shia vs. Sunni nut jobs both backed by Iran), which is pretty funny.

Anyway, Hamas wants more.

Does anyone have a link to how many rocket strikes/day are launched since O7?

That is almost 10,000 rockets.. How do you hide 10,000 rockets from the Mossad or CIA? Oh I forgot Biden has told us that domestic terrorist are our biggest threat.

1) You hide them in tunnels until you're ready to deploy
2) https://www.csis.org/analysis/escalating-terrorism-problem-united-states (But please don't try to turn this into a political debate and detract from the topic as mods have been clear about this)

10,000 ???? that is about 600 rockets manufactured per year since 2005, 2 per day. I am not saying that it is not correct, but what I want to know is why didn't the intelligence agencies know that there was that many. And if they did why did they ignore it.

Yes.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Palestinian_rocket_attacks_on_Israel

It's a lot more than 600 per year because they already fired thousands and thousands of them at Israel over the last 20 years

They knew about them. Chose containment and bribes via UN in hopes they wouldn't use them.

Under the terms of a detailed, six-page agreement, all parties to the conflict would freeze combat operations for at least five days while an initial 50 or more hostages are released in smaller batches every 24 hours. It was not immediately clear how many of the 239 people believed to be in captivity in Gaza would be released under the deal. Overhead surveillance would monitor movement on the ground to police the pause.

The stop in fighting is also intended to allow a significant increase in the amount of humanitarian assistance, including fuel, to enter the besieged enclave from Egypt.

I doubt Hamas will be able to go 5 days without tossing another rocket towards Israel, or taking a pot shot at an IDF soldier if they see them.

I could be wrong, but Hamas has proven to have made a LOT of mistakes in the past month.

hamas terrorists have been irretrievably brainwashed in order to not only commit their crimes against humanity, but to take great pride in their atrocities. You don't just turn that off. They may make 5 days but there's no way it will hold much longer. My guess is that Israel is just trying to retrieve any hostages they can before they get serious about killing hamas in larger numbers.

Islamic Jihad will send a few rockets just to make sure Hamas is well and truly F'ed. they would love to fill the power vacuum after Hamas is decapitated and mostly destroyed.

This is entirely possible. But, I think right now, Israel and the IDF are not really distinguishing between the two when they're killing them.

I agree with you about Israel wanting retrieve hostages, especially with the thousand Israelis marching to Jerusalem demanding Bibi free the hostages, but I also think the capture of the Hamas leader's family members changed his tune.

Meanwhile, he laments 'growing Islamophobia.'

Quote:

Imam Shaykh Mongy El-Quesny echoed Safadi's statement. During the prayer that he led on Friday, he talked about how the media has inaccurately represented the Palestinian people's suffering.

Donned in a Palestinian flag scarf, the imam detailed to mosque congregants how Islam is a religion of peace and how Muslims should stand up for Palestinians who are suffering.

"The question is, why is the media not picking up on both sides of the spectrum? You know, why are they not challenging the other side?" Sadafi said. "If you're pro-Israel, you should be challenging Israel to be better… If you're really one of the pro-Israeli, that's what you should be doing. You shouldn't be accepting the fact that 12 days later, a city's being demolished carpet-bombed. That's a second that achieved anything but more depth of destruction. So when will that challenge come from the media?"

A bus took Northwest Indiana congregants to downtown Chicago on Saturday to protest Israel's attacks on Gaza, and plead for a ceasefire.

El-Quesny and Almoazen said they think the best thing for people amidst growing tensions in the Middle East is education.

"The problem is we have a lack of education," El-Quesny said. "Information is nothing, right? Information is like a few pages."
An unrepentant liar.
