also note the Rear Admiral is in good shape when he starts the presentation, and a few minutes in is bleeding from the forehead.

Hamas did overrun 4 military positions around the fenceline before being crushed later on in the day of the 7th.

and another 1400 Hamas fighters went directly for civilian targets to murder and kidnap as many women and children as they could get to.

This is interesting video of what the IDF troopers are finding as they continue to push into the center of Gaza City

the Parliament Building of Hamas has been captured, and many other of the Hamas command and control "government" buildings

here you can see the israeli soldier says "look here are bullets of 9 millimeter" and then another one holds up a bag and says "this is Israeli". when one trooper fires what is their equivalent of an M-240 grenade launcher his buddy congratulates him with "Kol Hakavod!" (all of the honor to you)

another one says "RPG" and his buddy says "whats that?" "here are kalatchim (kalashnikovs) and weapons ("neshek")

As sickening as it is, I hope people read that full tweet. That is the face of evil, and it is why there can be no restraint or mercy when it comes to Hamas. The group has to be eradicated.

looks like the 162nd Division moving from the north to south

has now linked up with the other pincers of the 36th Division which came in from the south and moved north

closing the trap around Hamas in central Gaza City

From the reports I have seen there are some death and injury casualties but according to the guys on the ground not a shocking amount, the IDF will release the numbers at a later date. Most of the Hamas fighters are doing pop shots and are aiming for the tanks and such. Several IDF units have yet to face a live Hamas fighter, tanks are doing a pretty good job of taking them out before they clear the buildings.

Minimal Hamas drones are being used which to me is surprising, most infantry soldiers said they have seen 1 or 2 total. Hamas seems to be trying to use guerilla warfare and ambush but really aren't doing a very good job at it. Seems Israel had pretty good intelligence before everything started and took out a lot of targets and tunnels before the ground movement.

There are no civilians on that side in this war. None. All are current or future combatants. It's an unfortunate reality they have brought on themselves with their religion of hate.

Eyal Barad and his family managed to survive the October 7 attack in Nir Oz by sheltering in a safe room they constructed for that purpose. A security camera installed outside the house captured the advance of Hamas through their village. The video shows uniformed Hamas fighters, but also armed civilians with young women and children mixed in with them. It almost looks as if they're heading out for a picnic in the park rather than a murderous rampage. Some of the children can be seen being sent by the fighters into homes that had been "cleared" so they can loot them.

There are many more disturbing stories from survivors in the linked report. They all recount similar, horrifying observations involving children and young women participating in the violent mayhem. The reality is that there is likely no way to "reprogram" these Palestinian children by the time they are ready to start elementary school. (Assuming a school can be found.) They are already indoctrinated into the Hamas cult of hate.

Summarizing, Cohen said that these different key points signified entering the gates of Gaza City, the center of Gaza City, and now, with the fall of Hamas in Shaati, the southern point of Gaza City.
The Shaati neighborhood alone took thousands of heavily armed IDF forces.

The naval command center also had significant weapons and intelligence hidden about 20 meters down
With Foreign Minister Eli Cohen tweeting on Monday that within two to three weeks, global pressure on Israel for a ceasefire will spike, IDF estimates are that this would be enough time to finish off remaining leftover Hamas spots in the North.

The IDF's goals appear to be: first destroy Hamas forces, second destroy (not just neutralize) Hamas tunnels, and third to create pressure on Hamas to release the almost 240 Israeli hostages.

Regarding the battle over tunnels, in some cases, the IDF has collapsed tunnels with Hamas forces within them, and a later stage of destroying tunnels will need to include sifting through these areas.

Generally, the IDF has used various new capabilities, robots, and other systems to investigate tunnels, with IDF troops only entering at a later stage, and only with the approval of a high-ranking brigade commander of the rank of colonel.

I really hope the IDF and the US intel is correct about what's underneath and inside Al-Shifa hospital.

if not, the Hamas supporters will be crowing:

"sure, we butchered, raped, mutilated, tortured and kipnapped over 1200 human beings,

but we didn't have offices under a hospital!!"

It seems like the IDF will have eliminated Hamas on the surface of Gaza fairly soon. The next stage will be to deal with the tunnels. A call for a "cease-fire" wont do much good for Hamas. It sounds like its too late for them.
