Yes of course there are UAVs and israeli monitoring of the southern Rafiah crossing with Egypt

but at the end of the day they are massive 18 wheeler trucks and who knows what is in them.

the tunnel entrances are under homes and hospitals and mosques, you can't see them from the air.

Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken will urge the Israeli government to agree to a series of brief cessations of military operations in Gaza to allow for hostages to be released safely and for humanitarian aid to be distributed, White House officials said on Thursday.
. . .
I think this strategy would benefit Israel on multiple fronts since they don't appear to be ready for an all out invasion.

Israel is under pressure at home from the relatives of the hostages, and to a lesser extent (because it doesn't have much weight) from the PR onslaught abroad. This would allow Israel to continue its targeted strategy, while allowing it to say it's allowing for humanitarian relief for the citizens that evacuated in the South - while at the same time placating hostage families and allowing Israel to say its doing its best to get them out (both militarily and diplomatically). As long as Hamas dribbles out hostages each time there is a brief pause along with limited humanitarian relief, Israel can have its cake and eat it too (keeping the pressure on Hamas with only brief pauses, while still getting some of the hostages out).

We'll see if that's how it plays out. Israel is of course free to chart whatever path it sees fit.
I think everything you wrote is correct and I hope that Israel finds a way to open up some quasi humanitarian corridor

seeing as how this is going to take months to conquer all of the Gaza Strip

the Israeli government needs to be cunning and utilize the "pauses" to lower the climate in the Arab and leftist world, while continuing to squeeze Gaza City like a Boa Constrictor

each day more and more pressure.

I think that is a minority of Gazans-

seeing as how we have HOURS of videos of war crime atrocities FILMED BY THE TERRORISTS

which were sent back to their families and friends in Gaza

I know. I'm inclined to believe that the majority have been indoctrinated into Muslim extremism but it's nice to see there are some who see Hamas for what it is.

I thought Hamas made payments to families if their kids became a "martyr". Maybe they are just hoping for a paycheck.

True.

But, if you see the aid truck stop by a house and people carry a bunch of stuff into the house...well, I think you can deduce there is a tunnel entrance in the house.

IDF says it's using AI to quickly identify and strike new Hamas targets

By EMANUEL FABIAN

The IDF's Military Intelligence Directorate says its so-called "targets center" has identified some 1,200 new Hamas targets in the Gaza Strip amid the ongoing ground offensive that began last week.

The IDF says hundreds of soldiers are working to produce new targets "on a large scale."

A senior intelligence officer says that "in war, the enemy behaves differently and creates new opportunities."

The Military Intelligence Directorate is using artificial intelligence and automated tools to "produce reliable targets quickly and accurately," the IDF says.

The senior officer says other new tools are being used for the first time to immediately provide ground forces in the Gaza Strip with updated information on targets to strike.

So far, the IDF says it has struck more than 12,000 targets in the Gaza Strip.

It's impossible to do that as it's INSIDE Gaza,

basically having one million Gazans move from the North part of the Strip (mostly around Gaza City) to the south part of the Strip near Rafiah

there are no Israelis controlling the Strip since 2007, until the last 3 days when they entered the North part.

so it's pretty much guaranteed many Hamas have moved or are based in the Southern Strip- which is why Israel will have to move down there once they clear and hold the north

If they find their cellphone atena network, then the IDF could choose which ones to shut off and which ones to leave on.

Not sure on the science, but maybe they can send a bunch of electricity as you can to start an electrical fire or maybe or I don't know set back their cellphone and computer network signal router ?

I mean the IDF is probably listening to their communications as we speak. But at some point Hamas can send encrypted files or probably already are.

Maybe. Just thinking out loud again…

If the leader is going to be in public and doesn't get killed then he'll be like Saddam Hussein in that he's being allowed to live by the U.S. for purposes we'll never be told, but will always come back to bite us or an ally later on.

Honestly, it's not the worst thing they did. They put babies in ovens and beheaded others. I can't say it enough, but a culture that creates monsters like these must absolutely be destroyed. Completely and totally. They are beyond forgiveness, mercy, or absolution.

palestinians teach their children to hate and dream of violence and murder, but then they're seemingly shocked when their children go out and commit horrific attrocities. In the terrorist confession from a couple pages back, he says how his parents wouldn't be proud of what he's done and his father would shoot him if he knew he was in hamas, but what kind of parenting produces a child that grows up to join hamas and knowingly and unquestioningly gun down, torture, and barbarically murder children? His father may shoot him for being in hamas, but his mother and father certainly didn't raise him to love his neighbor to keep him from joining. If islam really forbids the killing of children and the crimes the palestinians are guilty of, then his parents and many other palestinian parents certainly didn't teach that to their children either. They are as guilty as their offspring for creating such monsters and siccing them on the world.

And they'll never take responsibility or admit their own agency. EVERYTHING is Israel's or someone else's fault. They choose to be hateful and preach violence, and they choose to commit violence, and they refuse to accept the consequences.

So far Hezbollah has been pretty restrained in their attacks on northern Israel. They are doing just enough to help Hamas by fixing IDF assets in place defending the northern border. If Israel kills their leader, it won't really degrade their capabilities, but it will royally piss them off and insure that the go for a full attack on Israel with everything they have.

The Hezbollah rocket and missile arsenal dwarfs what Hamas had both in quantity and in capability. They can hit any part of Israel they want with thousands of rockets/missiles and defending against it would rapidly overwhelm the capabilities of the Israeli Iron Dome and other air defense systems.

Keeping Hezbollah mostly on the sidelines is worth far more to the IDF than the symbolic victory of killing Nasrallah. Now if Nasrallah decides to declare full and open war in his speech and Hezbollah starts launching, the IDF should flatten the entire area around where he is speaking.

Dozens of Hamas terrorists popped out of tunnels and tried to ambush the Namer armoured personnel carrier,

but were fought off and lost many of their fighters.

the IDF commander called in a strike on his position, telling the Air Force to kill anything outside of his personnel carrier.

the soldiers here are stating they have very high spirit, they killed many terrorists, wounded others, and that they are continuing until victory / success ("nitzahon"

Hamas are modern day Nazis. They have to be ended.

The Nazi soldiers told to shoot innocent Jewish civilians were having nervous breakdowns and asking to transfer to other combat units to get away from that unpleasant business. Part of the reason to gas Jews was to reduce the number of Nazis involved and make it as "impersonal" as possible. Also, the Nazis hid this from the other Nazis so as not to cause too much backlash against their own.

Hamas publicizes their barbariaty and their supporters revel in it. Make no mistake, HAMAS IS A MUCH GREATER EVIL THAN THE NAZIS EVER WERE.

There is no need for a pause. The people trying to get out and the aid coming in are all in the southern part of Gaza on the border with Egypt.

The Israeli invasion force is fighting in the North and has surrounded Gaza City.

So. No pause needed.

Quote:

Israeli forces have deployed robots and various explosive devices to destroy Hamas tunnels and kill terrorists, according to local media.

The Walla News site in Israel said large-scale operations to clear the tunnels began in areas of the Gaza Strip now under the control of the IDF.

A senior officer in the Southern Command told the outlet: "Maybe at first they were able to harass us, sting us by firing from tunnel exits, but after we established control of the areas, the engineering operation started."

He added: "We are going to collapse the entrances and the tunnels on them. It will become a death zone. They made a mistake, they chose to be in a place they could not escape from. They will die in the tunnels."
The tunnels are going to become a tomb for thousands of Hamas fighters. When the rebuild the city, its going to like digging up a mass grave site
