OK, highly misleading click-bait article. Tim Allen does not own exclusive rights to the character of Santa Claus. In fact the character he plays in the movies you could argue isn't even THE Santa Claus. They are making a different movie, and I have no issue with black Santa.

Didn't the article say the opposite? They try to steal the presents they THINK they deserve, only to realize that their efforts are better directed at just being good.
Also, why is the Tim Allen Santa Claus even being talked about? This isn't a Santa Claus movie. Did Tim Allen play Santa Claus in that Elf movie with Anna Kendrick they released a couple years ago? No.
