Ukraine funding wasn't part of it. Almost failed in the Senate because one of the commie senators from Colorado wanted Ukraine funding or he'd kill it.

In the end it passed, probably because Schumer told him now was not the time for Ukraine grandstanding.

What happens now?

There will be a vote and it can be delayed by leadership for up to 48 hours.

If it succeeds, we go back to where we started in January.

So basically your plan is:

1) Shut down government
2) ?
3) Profit

Yeah, the only we can really enact spending reforms is to sweep the White House, Senate, and House. Dementia Joe should be easily defeated with the right candidate. The House and Senate can be drug across the line with the state of the economy, but it's going to hard to carry the swing districts and independents with stuff like this.

They care about shutdowns. They want to have food on the table and roof over their head. They want the vision of the government working for them (as crappy as that sounds).

Gallup's new survey that shos the largest GOP advantage on keeping the country prosperous since 1991. That gap will probably go away after this mess.
